Two *TED* Movies, One Video!

Ойын-сауық

❗📢 FULL-LENGTH UNCUT REACTIONS: / doscavazos
This is Kacee's first time watching reaction to the movies "Ted (2012)" and Ted 2" (2015). When John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) was a little boy, he made a wish that Ted (Seth MacFarlane), his beloved teddy bear, would come alive. Thirty years later, foul-mouthed Ted is still John's constant companion, much to the chagrin of Lori (Mila Kunis), John's girlfriend. Though Lori's displeasure is exacerbated by the pair's constant consumption of beer and weed, she's not the one who's most disappointed with John; it may take the intervention of John's boyhood toy to help him grow up at last. Life has changed drastically for thunder buddies John (Mark Wahlberg), now a bachelor, and best pal Ted (Seth MacFarlane), now married to the woman (Jessica Barth) of his dreams. Problems arise when the couple decide to adopt a child, but the law declares Ted to be property and not a person. Angry and dejected, the lovably foulmouthed teddy bear must now seek legal help from a young lawyer (Amanda Seyfried) and a legendary, civil-rights attorney (Morgan Freeman) to get the justice he deserves.

    Teddy Ruxpin was a toy from the 80s, he was a bear that had a tape player in his back and would read back from a story that was on an audio cassette. He had a buddy named " Grubby" and you could hook them together and they would both respond to the tape.

    I remember taking my mom (who was 62 at the time) to see the first Ted in theaters and I was absolutely surprised how hard she was laughing at this movie. I mean both scenes of Ted talking to the grocery store manager and saying some of the most obscene things she had ever heard made her laugh helplessly.🤣🤣 I just hope you guys go all the way and watch the whole Ted tv series.🤞🤞

    The reason it's "human" instead of "person" is because the law bases legal personhood on being human. Basically, if the court declared him a person but not a human, a bunch of other laws would have to be re-written to accommodate a broader understanding of personhood. But if they just declare Ted to be a human, then nothing else needs to be changed and no one has to put in any more work on the issue.

  • @gacaptain

    @gacaptain

    I wanted to scream through my phone screen at them that it’s not that simple. You can’t just declared him a person and not a human he still would not under the law enjoy all the rights and privileges of a human being because in legal documents a person is defined as a human. Laws would have to be rewritten. Alot!

    Rumor has it, Mila Kunis didn't do Ted 2 because she was pregnant, and the original story was too similar to a recently released movie, We're the Millers (Where group goes on road trip to smuggle weed). Amanda Seyfried and Liam Nieson were in another Seth Mcfarlane movie: One Million Ways to Die in the West. It's a Western Comedy Ala McFarlane's usual style. Some people didn't care for it, but I loved it. Charlize Theron is amazing in it.

    One of those rare times when the sequel hits the landing just as well as the original, if not better. Empire Strikes Back, Wrath Of Kahn, Back To the Future 2, Clerks 2, Rocky 2, and Guardians Of the Galaxy Volume 2 are examples of other sequels which hit the landing.

    Hey your concerns on the 80s joke is addressed in the 2nd movie and the show does a GREAT GREAT job of making it funny and the younger John does an amazing job like he’s great, whole cast honestly it’s really good

    Fun fact: the guy who rushed the stage during the concert was Shawn Thornton. Thornton played for the Boston Bruins and was the tough guy who got in fights all the time.

    I enjoyed the second one, more than the first. so many cameos, all the jokes about Amanda's character - it really was much funnier! also, in the debate about whether Ted should gain the status of a living person, while questioning the status of other beings can be evidence, it should never be the defining rule

    I love that kaycee seems to go into Anthony’s movie recommendations with an open mind and actually gives them a chance. I’m a film fanatic. To the point where my friends call it an obsession. And I’m always giving recommendations of great films that kinda fly under the radar. But it’s very rare that my friends and family actually end up watching them because they’re just not that interested in watching films. So yeah it’s great to actually see someone being introduced to so many good movies. On the off chance that Anthony and/or kaycee read this comment, please do ‘a million ways to die in the west’. It’s another Seth McFarlane movie. It’s really good. Imo anyway. I think you two would appreciate it, if you haven’t already seen it.

    She was 2.4 seconds away from crying @ 1:04:22 even though she knew the whole time that he was still alive. This was a great reaction to 2 great movies. Seth McFarland is comedic genius. I think Ted 2 is is better, like Empire is better than A New Hope. It just extends the greatness from the first movie.

    Since nobody mentioned it; 53:30 is a reference to the Steve Martin John Candy movie, Planes Trains and Automobiles.
