Thanks Gio. This design is what I might be using for most of my guitars moving forward.

Love the production work, great way to show 2 builds at once. My prediction is there are going to be a lot of the 'recesses with different woods on the headstock' guitars in GGBO this year!

Looking really good... and I'd never thought to use the smaller spindle sander sizes for hand sanding before! It annoys me you can't just buy the big ones you need a set. Now I can use them up :)

Thanks Chris. It also makes it easier to keep the sanding square to the body. Lots of sizes to choose from and use up!

See all the glue squeeze out on the sides? That’s going into the channel you routed. Of course the truss rod is covered in plastic so it won’t stick anyway but I have noticed how folks try to protect the truss rod but forget about glue squeeze out. Just an observation.

I don’t put the glue all the way to the edge of the truss rod channel so to minimise any squeeze out into the channel. It is a bit of a balancing act.

I love the way you do your headstocks Aaron. At step down and inlay are really neat touches.

They're coming along very well. BTW, what do you use to cut the fret slots?

  • @adairguitars

Thanks Bart. It’s a specific fret slotting blade that goes in a table saw. StewMac has one but I got mine from somewhere in Germany I think, because I needed one with metric measurements to fit in the table.

@@adairguitars I didn't realise there are fret slotting blades for a table saw. Nice!
