This is a series of videos, when I go via Brian Tracy's book "Maximum Achievement".
Chapter 4
Master Mind
As a reminder : inner world is mirrored to the outerworld. We have our self concept and belief system and this is crating our world.
In this chapter brian said that relying on subconscious mind is possible. It can help us to achieve what we want really fast. Harmony in relying on coscious and subconscious will give us the most efficient results.
The conscious mind - it is your thinking mind. It can hold one thought at a time.
It identifies information by different senses like sight or sound. Additionally it compares these information with previously gathered ones eg you see the car but it is slow so you know can continue walking. That brings us to fubctions: analyzing & deciding.
We know this mind but as per the book key is to use more master mind so subconscious mind. What is it? It is like big memory which stores all that ever happend to you. This mind is not subjective. It can be compared to a garden. Conscious mind can place some seeds a plants in there. They will grow as uncoscious mind is not questioning anything.
Nevertheless subcoscious mind can still make you ackward. Getting out of comfort zone, which is so needed to grow as person is not something that we like. Battle with ourrselves might be neverending if we aim big.
3 laws of subconscious:
1. Law of subconscious Activity -any idea you accept by conscious mind is always accepted by the unconscious one and it will begin to make it a reality.
2. The law of concentration - the more you dwell on stomething the more it bacomes part of your life. You know what should be your primary focus and you stay focused.
3. Law of substitution - super important and states you can hold only one thought in mind at a time and it can be substituted for another thought. Of course we talk here about negative with positive and it can be a real game changer for you life. You choose to think about something uplifitg eg your goals in a situation that cause you some distress. Brian advised changing the thinking from think about problem to switch to think about solution. It is automatically positive. This is how you can get rid of unwanted thought.
In the next part Brian is focusing on importance of relaxation. We shouldn’t be to crazy with all of these things we discuss here. It’s good to imagine our goals like last 10 min of the movie. With feeling we did it for sure. Then we rewind the movie to current time and fully knowing we succeeded we just watch it calmly. As a task try this for your goals :)
As a summary Brian tells that all of these things we learn here can benefit not only our goals but these acts means being disciplined mentally. That has great additional added value on our alertness and consciousness of our lives in general. We are getting more awake.
