Two men remembered after fatally falling into manure tanker at Central New York farm
Two Central New York men died after falling into a manure tanker at a farm in Oneida County.
One of the men fell into the manure tanker while trying to retrieve a piece of equipment. The other lost his life trying to save his friend.
At both fire departments where the two men volunteered, their memory lives on.

It was probably Memory who fell in first..he was younger and only started working on that farm this past Spring..so he didn't know any better/the real risks..the other guy Doody had a big courageous heart and wanted to help his companion so therefore jumped in after to try to save Memory..fatal mistake..Doody had been working on and off on that farm since 2015..he should've known the real risk in jumping in after..he should've held back and he would be alive..alas the instinct to help your fellow man and having a courageous heart clouded the real danger in front of him and in just a mere few seconds it was all over..R.I.P.

The gases from it decomposing. Gases from silage fermenting can do the same thing. The off tasing can knock one out & ruin your lungs. Farming is one of the deadliest occupations. Thank a farmer today!
