Two Men and a Dog. Rollover on the Noosa Bar. March 2019.
There have been so many enquiries about this video clip that I thought we'd best resurrect it. It was from a couple of years ago. Two guys and their dog attempted to cross the Noosa Bar in very gnarly conditions in a small tinny. They didn't succeed, as you'll see, but they and the dog (which managed to catch a wave) miraculously made it safely to shore. As did the boat and most of their gear. The dog, by the way, was filmed running up and down the beach with a stick in its mouth, wagging its tail. It seemed to be saying.. "That was great! Can we do that again?"

The dog appeared to have had a marvelous time Craig. I filmed him digging holes in the sand and running up and down the beach with a stick in his mouth. I also checked him out at the boat ramp later. He was fine. Interesting thing is, one of the guys told me.. "That was the longest hour I've ever spent in the water." When I told him that it wasn't more than 15 minutes he wasn't convinced. When I checked my footage later I was correct though.. it was 14 minutes from start to finish.
Great video showing the whole story. Like surfing and the paddle out, mistiming the sets can be embarrassing. Looks like they'd done it before, and got complacent. Better luck next time.
