Its even more important to have the top hook firm so the hook can be set properly when we strike. Its so important that I use fixed rigs only, and I found it made a considerable difference to my hook up rate.

I remember tying those knots on tiny sneck style luderick hooks a long time ago ! Thank god they don’t make them anymore !

Tie some on 60lb and pink trace ps catch more sharks then mulloway geat rig how's North Sydney rocks fishing for snapper these days want to tire my abu 9000cl lm a overhead fisherman but alleys better on the beach with the sand.

Great vid mate.been listening to u on high tide for ages. What line do you use for the sliding snell? Braid/ mono/ fluorocarbon and what pound breakage for say Barra, threadies in FNQ way?

Great video but why is the bottom hook snelled too?

Thanks Clifton The bottom hook is smelled as well so when the top hook slides down to the bottom hook under load it does not damage the knot.
