I think your problem with the chefs is because you have both chef stations set as "main chef station" -- I made that same mistake running a restaurant and unsetting one of the stations fixed it. Right now both of the chef stations are reserved for Addison, so your chef immediately despawns as there is no place for them to work

Sims ignore a wedding happening right in front of them, but will stop everything to watch a fight and move into a completely different room to react to a rat or sniff furniture. Sure. Edit: In regards to where the stuff in the household inventory came from (like the stereo, sink, and that one counter - not to mention the single bed and wand) I think you mentioned that you had Reg and Kevin split off into their own household, so those inventory items are the ones that had accrued from the previous generation. Which kinda makes sense, families pass furniture and stuff around.

the stuff in your household inventory is from Reggie's first house. His teenage bed is in there.

Adding people in groups for a wedding actually works. You need to have a member in the household who isn't getting married, add the guest to their group, and when the two people getting married start their vows, have them "Watch Wedding Together" and everyone will either gather around or sit. I've been doing weddings like this for years, even before My Wedding Stories. It's just simpler.

With the take out, I think it's because you put on disallow new customer so the people can't come in to pick them up. Both takeout bags were made after you said disallow new customers so maybe that's it.

I think Addison is ready for a bit of a makeover.

I love that it's the core Bigwallets from this LP who stay through the whole wedding--Column, Reginald, and Brianne--even if they are on their phones! 😀 I know they are playing games, but it almost looks like Column is taking pictures at one point.

When he kneeled I was the most shocked I have ever been. I didn't know sims where that adaptable. Incredible.

I love how this started with plans of having Addison fail with the restaurant cause he was a spoiled child to learn life wouldnt always be lavish but now is a flourishing business owner and married

The families are obviously split about the union! It's like Romeo & Juliet, almost. But we see the Bigwallets are very supportive! One by one Sidney and his family left. Kevin probably felt some type of way because now his family is united with his husband's high school sweetheart. His mom obviously feels the same, too. Kevin also, probably, doesn't trust Rhys. Had to keep an eye on him.

Loving that industrial Lamp behind James, and I actually like the black screen, it kinda makes the intros and outros more ... cosy, in a funny sort of way

I deep giggled when you referred to Column as misc. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Wow the key light really separates you from the background. I love the new backdrop! 🫶🏽🖤

Backlighting is important in contrast to a dark background! It does look cool! The lamp is very awesome looking, too.

I'm not sure, but it seemed like the take out didn't work after you disallowed new customer.

Bills depend on your house AND household inventory, so all those produces and stuff stored there added up to your bills.

Seems when you disallow new customers they don’t pickup take out

I suggest building up Breanne's story and the restaurant in the meantime before the Growing Together expansion comes out, especially so the next generation can use the new features. Who knows, maybe the Bigwallet restaurant and/or photography studio can expand into the new neighborhood 👀

To be fair the wedding worked, I’ve never had an unplayable pack, I’ve had glitches but nothing to stop me from playing, I actually enjoy the weddings pack and I don’t do mods, cas is my favorite, but I’ve been really enjoying all your lps! Great job 👏🏼 😂❤

Seeing as the restaurant was bought with the parents money wouldn't it be fair if they built a photo studio for Briann, they could use upstairs at the thrift store & deed that business to her

I thought it was pretty telling that all of Hillary's family just up and left as the ceremony was happening. Clearly, Sidney isn't over Reginald and to think that this own daughter now gets to achieve his dream of marrying the Bigwallet she loves must be bitter. Don't take it out on Hillary, Sidney. You had your chance and you blew it, and that's okay.

Around 7:35 you’re talking about the roof piece on the end, you could do 2 roof pieces so that it doesn’t poke inside!!!

I love that addison’s family (sans Kevin) was supportive and stayed to be present for the wedding and Hilary’s family is completely over it. Like some sort of family feud still

In my headcanon, The two families weren't super excited. But at least Reginald, Column and Breanne stayed. So, if drama is what you want, I'd say lean into it.

I think the take out bags start glitching once you disallow new customers.

Getting your chef to show: 1) make sure you have a little bit of friendship with your chef, 2) start out on a lot that is NOT your restaurant, 3) TRAVEL to your your restaurant WITH the chef Sim {you should arrive as a group}, 4) while paused, open the restaurant! 5) be chatty with your chef + unpause AND command the group to go inside together. The chef should commence cooking within a few Sim minutes

I'd love to think everyone already considered them married so they didn't need to actually have a ceremony.

The chef disappearing keeps happening to me too. :( I've had two fully skilled chefs just suddenly stop working - they either show up and disappear immediately or just don't show up at all. Justice for Agatha!

I feel like when you disallowed new customers it may have messed up the to go pickup.

I'm concerned with all of the players getting their Sims pregnant in anticipation of the new EP coming out, and then possibly finding out it only works on NEW pregnancies. That would be so like Maxis, and the game mechanics. I'm waiting until it's out... and they maybe fix a bug or ten. Didn't we get an update where the new feature only worked on new saves? Yeah, call me paranoid like that. Anyway, this LP is so chaotic, but somehow, Addison is finding a way to be successful. Fun to watch, even for this control freak!

That’s why I haven’t gotten my Sim pregnant ! It’s a want for her, but I just pinned it and am waiting to see what the pack/patch brings on cause I don’t trust EA lol. I have one Sim that I care bout but not as much that has a baby and space for another baby after that, that I’m going to use to really ‘test out’ what this pack is all bout before I mess with my main Sim family though lol.

I know it’s probably going to be forever, but I would love to see a time-lapse or speed build type video of the free house being “built”. Glad to see that the Price fam is finally incorporated with the Bigwallets 😆

when i've done weddings without the doing the actual wedding event, i've had my couple start to route to the wedding arch to get married and then either form a group or individually click on the guests to have them watch/attend (don't remember the specific command) the wedding by clicking on the arch as well. they usually sit if there are chairs or they'll at least stand nearby and pay attention until the ceremony is over. super handy if you don't want to go through an event!

Why do I want an April Fool's of James and Deli getting married, IRL but the guests all act like Sims? Hahaha

James, when sims you've hired reaches their highest leveled skill and satisfaction they leave and you have to train up a new sim. I hate that about the dine out pack.

The delivery services stopped working when you disallowed customers and I think you stopped the chef when you took over her station.

I work in a restaurant and I'm watching it after my shift on which we also had one of our chefs not show up for work and that triggered some sort of PTSD for me 😂

Good episode James. I think the way your wedding worked out is probably the way wedding happen IRL. I like Carl's dine out mod especially the takeout feature. Maybe this feature works best when the bags are left where they are placed, but in an open area. The waiter station and walls you placed might cause routing issues for some customers picking up their food.

Their families seem to only care about prestige and appearances haha. So they are probably pissed that Addison and Hilary threw together the wedding in a cramped corner of the restaurant, instead of going all out.

I don't know if this is a popular opinion, but I have to say, I love the light in your backdrop. It gives your video such a nice vibe.

Too late I know, but there is a free debug barrel. 😁 Oh, I know what's going on with Agatha. She ages and dies, but the game generates another one so that there is always an Agatha like with Mrs. Crumplebottom. She's probably died and the game glitched when generating the new one because she works for your restaurant. I think you need to fire her and find another chef. Sucks to start over, but hiring elders is a bad idea. Also, I love your debug house. I'm using it in one of my games and the roof is too narrow in the middle. This makes the upstairs shape awkward and small. I'm sticking to the shell though and will be having an 8 sim household! 🤣 I think I'm going to put a basement in and use that to get more room. I don't want to build up and change anything already set in place like the roof.

Oh and the reason why the new chef is messed up is probably because of the chef's stations. I would try to set and unset them as main station. You can also deselect the option to cook as chef. I think I see the bug you're experiencing when there isn't enough chef stations for the chef to cook because they are reserved for the player.

The Crumplebottoms are immortal and can't die. However, if you add them to clubs, make them occults, give them jobs--anything that takes them away from the shop? They'll spawn another one to replace them. James has made them werewolves and tried to marry one, etc, so that's why he's got multiple Crumplebottoms.

@@sapphirexclaws yes, I usually disable all immortal sims, delete Baby Ariel and Alex Moyer. I don't like when they have kids and their family trees go on forever.

I think he'll have to turn off acne. I had to do that a couple of times. I turned it back on later because I like it. But maybe he likes Addison having acne scars?

@@SarahAnn1015 For me, if they had acne as teens, they still had it when they aged up. I don't know if there's a way to remove it through game play, but disabling it was how I cleared it up.

My sims are not having babies until I get the new expansion pack can't wait for spring break
