I always thought the most intriguing angle nobody has ever taken yet; is a Two-Face with self-inflicted scarring. The multiple personalities could be played up a lot more, and it would allow for practical effects to be used in a movie more convincingly

It hasn't been done in the movies yet but it has been depicted several times in the comics. Originally he would get cured at the end of stories only to get scarred again so he would appear in the next one.

I prefer it if his scars were inflicted by outside forces (The Dark Knight and The Long Halloween for examples). I think it makes his story more tragic, since he was a legitimate good person who wanted to save Gotham from crime the legal way.

In fact, in the comic "The eye of the beholder" (if I remember correctly) Harvey has plastic surgery, but a few days later he scratches himself, causing the damage to be irreparable.

Batman forever is the only time Dent's origin is accurately shown on screen.

In Batman Telltale, did you all notice that all of the characters has a damage in their left/ half side. Batman, Catwoman, the main villain with the bird head: his eye glass is half broken in left. One of the villain's gangs got batarang in his left eye. Also Harvey Dent with his left face.

Fantastic for a one-off, which indeed was the entire point and executed beautifully, but I still prefer a more "comic-book" portrayal over realism, and in that vein TAS is my favorite.

I think the Two-Face transformation that I think is really painful is the one in Batman Telltale series. That is the real Two-Face transformation. I still respect Tommy Lee Jones, and Aaron Eckhart that did their part as Harvey Dent aka Two-Face.

“Give me a mirror” is a reference to Batman 1989.

I love the way he slaps the vase on the left just to pick up the mirror on the right 😂

That is actually in the comic source material. In Two-Face's first appearance Batman was present as a witness against Sal Maroni. The Long Halloween also played homage to it by having Bruce there in disguise. So it is very much in line with the material to have Batman in court when Harvey was scarred.

Two-Face is one of my favourite Batman villians.

After being caught in the accident only his face was damaged and that is also true after the scene in the hospital. But in all appearances as Two-Face after that the hand is scarred. It is pretty good but it is not without its flaws.

My all time favourite was the one in the Batman ’89 comics,that transformation was tense and cool.

The Telltale origin the most brutal. Not only is that hundreds of degree directly pressed up against Harvey's face, the the force of the blow from the light itself should damaged his skull in the least, if not caused brain injuries; and that's assuming it wouldn't have killed him.

For real, Telltale nailed Dent's transformation, both in the physical disfiguring and the psychological spiraling afterwards. I appreciate how they don't have him become Two-Face immediately like so many versions, instead allowing for the stress of his traumatic injury to fester, compounded with other issues such as his underlying mental illness and the relationships with Bruce and Selina until he finally snaps.

Well from what I see, Harvey has turned into two-face in some different ways, most being a explosion or a fire, but the unique one is getting the left side of his face burnt by a spotlight.

(Seeing the Penguin smash a hot light onto Harvey) Jesus... That's the most brutal scarring I've seen...

I can tell the Animated Series scene took some inspiration from Joker’s transformation in Batman ‘89. Maybe vice versa since I don’t remember his original reveal in the comics minus the acid being thrown on him.

I know its a bit late but in the comics they have a few times but it never works permanently. For example in the dark knight returns they perform surgery so that his face looks completely normal however he's so insane that he thinks they disfigured his whole face and it completely erases the good persona

Joker knows this so acts like an insane individual when he isn't, kind of like Lex Luthor in Batman V Superman. So legally, yes, Joker is insane, but he shouldn't be classed as insane

Nolan's Two Face is just an angry Harvey, not another personality. It isn't bad but it lacks what makes Two Face, well, Two Face

I disagree. The TAS version it's more complex and interesting. The Dark Knight version it's basically just "Rachel!!!!".

William Shatner from the late 60's was animated perfectly.

It's funny to think that Batman Forever got the Two-Face origins right but... they got the character wrong

It was based on the original comic where Batman was in the courtroom to testify against Sal Maroni.

@@Bulls3ye86 There are some cases where people may testify in court with their face concealed (I.e for religious reasons like a hijab or for witness protection). That said vigilantes are illegal to begin with. People also don't tend to survive acid baths, have guns that can freeze people, or gain immortality from bathing in a certain liquid. Comics have always stretched the boundaries of reality which is part of the entertainment.

@@trueblue6201 True. I just prefer Batman as a mysterious, legendary figure. Who works with Gordon in an unofficial, off the books kinda way. Not testifying in court, doing fundraisers, or holding press conferences with the mayor. He should be nothing but an urban myth to most people.
