Popcorn is a pre-release and Mars is the title track. I'm so proud of Kyungsoo having released his first album under the company he has co-founded under a year. As usual, others were complaining that he's ignoring the clamour for him to do heavy RnB. Personally, i like that Kyungsoo is doing what he really likes and comfortable with. This is him and it's his essence. He may do heavy RnB in time, who knows. but i can't complain because he has no bad song. His new album is so beautiful and satisfying. oh, you'll see when you listen to the whole album. thank you for this reaction 💗

Going to be completely honest and say the song is not my favorite. I enjoyed Popcorn a lot but Mars is kind of boring to me. I think it could work as an OST and so could the MV. Actually to me the MV could be clips from a kdrama lol I think he is so talented and for me, I think he shines more singing R&B. So I was disappointed with this and then I realized that this first album with his new company that he jointly owns, I don't think this album was about pleasing fans as much as it was making an album with songs that he loves and staying true to himself. So when I look at that way, I can't be disappointed. I'm very proud of him and excited about what he will show on his next album since he calls the shots now so I'm looking forward to it. Now I wait patiently for the plethora of EXO solo albums 🥰

I appreciate your honesty, and that's completely valid. People shouldn't expect you or anyone to love every track right off the bat, you know? That being said, I haven't had a chance to listen to the full mini yet, but between the two, I enjoyed "Popcorn" a lot more. I still like "Mars," but "Popcorn" has some very fun elements to it that I absolutely adore. See you for the next comebacks! haha. It's a good time to be an EXO-L/Eri.

Sometimes I do feel guilty for not loving something one of my favorite artists poured their time, energy and heart into but like you said, a fan is not obligated to like everything. It's like a painting or sculpture. Some will resonate with people and some won't. Doesn't mean it's bad, just that it wasn't for you and that's okay. Plus as long as he's happy, I am too.
