Try parting differently she parted with one side thicker and on an angle to give her a more grown up sexy, sleek look. Hope that helped love♡

I just wanted to thank you. I am biracial asian and black and my daughter's father is black, so our hair texture is different. I also never learned how to braid and have been trying to teach myself for months. You are probably the 10th video I've seen but for some reason it clicked for me tonight. I got her edges down flat and her braids are the best I've ever done. I have different brands of the products you use on hand and hope her curls come out the way yours did. Telma Oliveira FOR REAL....her vids are straight HAIR PORN !!!! I too am envious and jealous when i watch, but they are/ she is sooooo beautiful to watch that I can't help it. Plus....I genuinely just LIKE her...she seems VERY laid back, chill and down to earth, She's so generous with her tips and product recommendations, she makes it seem attainable, even If I don't have her hair type. ha ha ha I really do come away a little depressed and insecure. I've unsubscribed to a lot of fave channels just for this reason...it got to be too much...this HAIR ENVY. Sometimes I just can't relate anymore...I don't have a similar, certain texture, length, etc.....why am I still watching these channels/girls? (sometimes its just for the good tips) LOLLLLLLL

+wellergurl omg same! I've unsubscribed from so many people since I realized that me watching their videos was me just gawking at their beauty and feeling bad about myself in comparison. Plus if people only have hair videos on their channel and nothing else and I'm a drastically different hair type from them I'll unsubscribe. Same with beauty gurus that aren't my skin tone.

any idea where I can find tutorials for beginner's. I have a 3 year old. my wife just passed away very suddenly and she never let me do her hair. unfortunately I'm a white guy with straight hair and my wife was a beautiful black woman with very curly hair. my daughter is somewhere in between. I still have no experience doing her hair and need to learn quickly. I did her hair this morning and it looks like her mother did it a week ago and nobody touched it since. any suggested tutorials would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for your loss. A youtuber named Ellarie has tutorials where she does her daughter's hair. search Ellarie or Yoshidoll. Hope it helps. Also, look for a safe moisturizer, try not to pull the hair too tight and for now, try buns if braiding is too hard. God bless you and your family.

Like the above comment Yoshidoll is a great example. You need to use only wide tooth combs on your daughters hair (google it). I recommend learning to braid like on this tutorial (cornrows or french braids) You can put 2 frenchbraids on each side to stretch her hair and since she's young you can leave them in for like 5 days. Also look up "how to stretch natural hair." There's tons of ways. Easy styles under 10 minutes are buns, 2 French braids, one Elsa braid. So basically braids are very easy to do, my mom used to keep my hair in 2 braids when I was her age most of the time and by age 6 I had hair down to my tailbone. Good luck, your such an amazing dad for making an effort.

You could also make an appointment at a salon that specializes in curly hair and ask them to show you how to care for her hair. that way you can her hands on experience

I have the same Grace L. silk lined cap! It is everything for night time and running errands. I like stuff that serve a dual purpose. Expensive for a hat/cap, but so worth it!

When I'm able to do this and look fly- this is going to be my go-to style!- love it!

I’m 49 been natural my entire life this is how my mom and I always did my hair since I was little. My Cousin of the same age this is her go style as well. How our Grandmas and Great Grandmother’s did it.

Love your hair. I like that half up style too, I did videos on that style, one with curls and one with waves. I always feel like Chilli from TLC when I wear it. It looks so awesome with your braid out curls!!

NaturalNeiicey love this video. I just put my hair in the two french braids and they look great. I have medium length hair so I was worried about how it would turn out. No problem at all, the braids look very lovely on my hair. I pinned the two ends of the braids together to make a crown look. Thanks for such a wonderful style
