I really appreciate your fish/food safety comments. As a nurse, I hear alot of my clients complaining of food related illnesses (even in minnesota, where most cooked foods are safe). Its a great reminder that certain foods are only safe to consume under certain conditions and when cooked properly.

I remember as a little Nissei boy going out of Half Moon Bay and Pescadero with my dad to collect urchins, muscles, and crab. This is was the early-mid 1970's. Then coming home and helping my mother prepare them with umeboshi onigiri and I still make it to this day, decades later once in a long while as a treat: tonkatsu clams. That is one of my childhood favorites. You should do a video on Southern Japanese (Hiroshima, Fukuoka) Ochazuke. Id love to see what a sushi chef's take on it would be using fresh caught coastal ingredients.

This was hectic! Unlike your usual videos. Well, you had little choice, but, for me, I love the calm feeling of hanging out and foraging with you you and Jocelyn a bit more than you making the most epic thing ever. Not a complaint though. Because epic is still epic. This was simply a realization for me, that I wouldn't mind repeats of foraging for the same stuff you've made before and get something nice, calm and inspiring. I think you as a great chef could probs also make some tweak to the cooking to make it unique anyways, or try to branch out and try other cuisines? There's unexplored potential to your concept I'm sure. So keep it going. You're both adorable as a couple!
