Two Cases about Joint Sitting and Double Dissolution (s 57) | AUSSIE LAW

Cormack v Commonwealth (1974) and Victoria v Commonwealth (1975) are cases related to the double dissolution and the joint sitting of 1974. The decisions of the High Court of Australia referred to the process of section 57 and addressed issues concerning the justiciability of the matter, the number of bills to be analysed in the joint sitting, and whether the process of s57 was mandatory or not.
