I am a big fan of a monopod on a gimbal, work mostly in this configuration. But i have tried legs and no legs and for the above-mentioned application the monopod with feet I find is a pain. If you want to put a small light etc on the legged monopod that works. But i like the basic ally monopods for gimbal work.

Tip for YC Onion if they’re watching this. Make the folded length shorter, around 18”. For that, most likely they will need a 4th or even a 5th section to still keep the same height. At 18”, this could fit in carry-on baggages like Pelican 1535 Air, Nanuk 935, Manfrotto ProLight Reloader tough 55, and many backpacks as well. Love the Feiso system, but really want this with a shorter folded length.

Thank you for your suggestion. We did think about that, to make it 4 or even 5 sections so that it could be shorter when folded, but then the outermost circle/layer will be very thick under the current structure. We do have plans for making a quick-release travel monopod, but it would feature a totally different structural design :)

@@yconionofficial but with a fast deployment, something like the Feiso system? I’m more interested in a quick deployment system than quick release head. I could use many existing quick release systems available. The real magic is the Feiso quick deployment system. By the way, thank you for replying.

No Negatives?? afflilated link? Hmmmmm 🤔 Monopod legs looks like ifootage length and not as long as suriu so I wouldn't trust my camera unattended on it. Nothing too new here with the quick release. Only major difference I see is the quick height change. But is it worth an extra $150 compare to other popular monopods, I say No.

Yeah. Discounts suck. You’re right. If you think I would ever say anything I didn’t want to say about a product you don’t see the piles of garbage products companies want us to review I say “No”. I literally made a video telling people not to buy a gimbal. Next time I won’t demand that for viewers.
