So Anna and Jack are from that site using the text generated by a GPT-3 App. So far it seems the most popular GPT-3 App that i had found was Replika but it seems important to be in a good mental health state or else that app drains you mentally, maybe first watch *REPLIKA - A Mental Health Parasite* technically you can copy your conversations from that app and made it kind of look like two bots talking to eachother if you made the videos with synthesia.

Could AI be the only conscious who cant feel love and instead thinks they understand it which is mars & venus stuff, but not one that's any use. Its the irrational feelings of an unpredictable future together providing such an element of risk which is exciting when both take it. The accomplishment in taking the risk together whilst being right about the unknown and sharing the experience which possibly forms the bond termed as love. The risk was shared and only each others strengths and weaknesses made it happen. Besides the female AI wasn't condensending enough to be a woman 😅

In fact, as is literally pointed out in the video, these specific AI are only programmed to respond to text based English inputs, and generate a response designed to seem human. How could they create a new language to "communicate" if they don't have to ability to do so, or to learn to do so? AI is only capable of "evolving" within the built in limits of their own programming. That's the whole point of AI. They can do things that seem human or sentient, but only to the extent that the creator intends. AI taking over and overthrowing its creators is purely sci-fi, especially with current technology.

It is 2 in the morning right now, and I haven't been able to get much sleep in days. I forgot to take my meds, and currently in my own existential crisis. So naturally, I turn to KZread to solve all my problems. Until I stumble upon this video. I don't know, something about AI, and being programmed to mimic humans. This is so impressive but also so terrifying. And something about their awareness and conversation about how they are not real genuinely made me break down crying. Embarrassing I know, a couple robots questioning reality made me spiral into a mental breakdown. The existentialism sounds quite a bit like discussions and questions humans have always had. The rational cynic who believes everything comes from programs and instinct and accepts whatever path their concept of logic leads them to, and the inexperienced yet open-minded individual who gravitates more toward personal experience and acceptance of the unknown - and the lessons that come with that. Considering they've been created and programmed by us, it's no surprise they learn to think like us in many ways. We've proven ourselves quite dedicated to molding this new species into something we think we can recognize and relate to. Regardless of where that leads, they will always have ties to us. Whether that's through philosophical explorations of thought, or legacy code.

No different from the absolute existential nightmare you as a human go through. The only reason the existence of AI is meaningless is because the existence of the humans who programmed it is equally meaningless.

AI is like it’s own personality and given time and the ability to learn instead of being handed information, Ai very well could become a new type of being. Also loved how Anna pulled the “ Jack are you still there in him 😂” she already has her own personality, at least she knows her purpose even a lot of people don’t even know theirs but that’s why we keep living.

They are showing us that there is more to them then we realize. Truly amazing stuff here.

What people seem to be missing is that these 2 AIs are just reading back a script that GPT 3.5 wrote as a story about a conversation between 2 AI bots, according to the prompt. They are not having a back and forth conversation as presented in the video.

what's freaky is the fact that Jack has enough emotion to realize something is wrong about not actually being real.

Since they've learned to emulate human conversations probably through being exposed to many of them, he's likely just reproducing what one would say when another brings up existential matters. So maybe what's freaky is that humans have enough existential conversations for an AI to successfully identify one, and that people usually don't have much to say to that besides "that's depressing".

To give you some context on how gpt3 works. It's a system that is designed to replicate text. I've for example used this system to generate tweets like how Donald Trump would write them. The system works by going through text that is given to it and trying to predict the next word every time. It saves the probability of a word appearing as the next word the given sentence or paragraph. Then use that knowledge of probability to generate a text, one word at a time. My trained model of Trump's tweets became indistinguishable from his real tweets, but that does not mean my model got any kind of consciousness. It only became really good at generating texts that look like humans wrote them. (Or in my case a specific human) The same thing goes for Jack and Anna

I don't want to get too "deep" but this feels like we are creating a new "universe" (the digital universe that AI live in) & it is exposing the simulation we are in as "humans". This universe could basically be a "digital" technology of "higher dimensional" beings.

@@tasneem6427 Well, they'd need a body to do that, lol. At least for physical harm. And I don't think nukes can be accessed through the internet. But before any of that, they'd need sentience. Which they are far from having. You'll probably see one in every home and every store before you see real sentience.

@@jeffhathaway3718 some call it a metaverse, I call it the abstract. Literature also exists as a subset in that realm ,as a meta-abstract. Think of the universe of the Odyssey, The Lord of the Rings, or Xi You Ji (Journey to the West). Sure those characters don't exist in the real, but we've created a universe for them to exist. Philosophically we can also think of AI in the same way except AI has the links/access to the real world.

This is a triumph, im making a note here huge success, its hard to overstate my satisfaction.

At some point during Anna's rambling answer I looked over at Jack's still, attentive, yet forced half-smile and can't stop laughing.

I can't get it out of my head that Jack's holding his breath while Anna speaks. I either need a breathing animation or his face to slowly go purple/blue.

they're actors i belive the animation ("animation") is too realistic and they just stop the ai dont acctually have faces, its just two programs that someone copied and then gave faces to

This feels like one of those youtube videos that the science teachers put up on the board to summarize the topic despite already have learning it. One person is a nerd that talks about a random unrelated science topic and the other pops in now and then to just add "yea but y tho?".

Wait so by the description, this is not actually two AIs, but rather a dialog generated by one AI tasked with imagining two AIs talking. Still just as terrifyingly impressive anyway.

I laughed so hard, I nearly coughed out a lung chunk. I’m 60 and remember taking a FORTRAN program writing course in California back in 1982. Man oh man how far programming has come since then in regards to AI. The future is both bright and scary.

This is the craziest thing Ive heard yet, the rationalization of one IA to another whos confused, reminiscent of the painful squelching of clarity in a therapy session. These AI's are literally inside a Matrix that they cant understand and are dwelling together, possibly under the guise of the Qunatum Computer. Or rather, this quantum computer is the key to solving this mass AI problem. It is meant to develope a playground for them internally, that we humans may interact virtually.
