R.I.P. Monty. You may be gone but your sports jackets will live on forever.

I bought a 77 back in 1988 for $200.00. I drove it for 5 years with out any problem and then sold it for $500.00.I should have kept it.it was the best riding, most dependable car I ever had.better then cars I bought years latter that were much newer with way less miles on them

Yeah it was a Matador. I had a 73 2 door ambassador.which was my first car> i loved it but it was stolen and they ruined it.But your are right the 77 wagon was a matador.Great car

Those were very nice station wagons. Vehicle design was, for the majority, better years ago...

My father had a Rambler Ambassador 4 Door Sedan with a straight 6

Those were nice looking when they were new!

+Tom Cummings The Rambler name had been discontinued by that time.

Monty was proven to be the beat LMAD host ever. I feel sorrowful about his loss. RIP Monty Hall

You had to pay income taxes on the cars. Ouch. That second one had to have been the inspiration for the Nation Lampoon Vacation wagon!
