    @@THEBACKROOMSEXPLORER7 Explain how it's terrible.. until then here is what the argument lays down: If fair use is really that subjective in courtroom rulings, then there is no reason a Twitch streamer could not just watch a movie or "react" to it on their Twitch stream. Because those reactions are supposed to be "transformative" Yet they don't. And it's pretty obvious why they don't. They themselves know that what they are doing could get them into legal trouble, and they need look no further than Suzy Lu for the proof.

    Lump right, but Lucy Lu for example did not have permission. And xqc never said in his videos that he had permission to react to the whole thing. ok so no. Reaction channels made their entire channel around reacting, xQc watches videos on stream and his editor puts it on his channel. You cant really blame him for watching a video now and again for like 1 hour in a 10 HOUR STREAM. They are not the same thing!

    TheGamingTnT bruh maybe he shouldn’t Reuploaded the original video with his dumb reaction that practically adds nothing to the video. Like bowblax said “it’s fine if it’s only on the stream but uploading it to KZread is pretty scummy” I swear their might be more twitch viewers but most of his views come from his yt channel

  • @aivreescend7945

    @aivreescend7945

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@thegamingtnt3111 The problem is XQC treats YT as his personal Storage Cloud, but KZread had their own rule and XQC is bringing Twitch's behaviour onto KZread's ecosystem, they're not the same. Moreover the vids that he reacted is oftenly come from youtube so it will always be a direct competition, it sure cannibalize the views. If you say "well he's not a youtuber so he didnt plan to make money on youtube" is jusy ignorant. His followers still bleeds out to youtube and his vids have decent views because of it. the damage is already done, heck even Charlie's half assed editing is 100x better than XQC's editor did, and he always used the YT generated thumbnail with minimum editing, just simple jump cuts.

  • @thegamingtnt3111

    @thegamingtnt3111

    3 жыл бұрын

    nem0 Syncheart yeah you’re right except for one thing. XQC DOES NOT CONTROL THE CONTENT ON HIS KZread CHANNEL. His editor Arthium is the one that both edits and uploads the videos. So no, you keep on saying xQc like xQc is the same guy who streams the games for 10 hours than edits the 10 hours of footage THEN UPLOADS 2 VIDEOS EVERYDAY. You keep on saying fucking xQc when xQc said before that his editor has most of the control of his YT. I know that reacting to something to YT then uploading it to your own channel is bad, but it fucking annoys me that people are shitting on streamers for doing this shit on stream like no one is allowed to eat while watching a video. All these KZreadrs fucking do on KZread is stir fucking drama cuz they can’t make fucking good content. “tWitCh sTreAmerS vS YoUtuBeRs” you know you fucking suck when you try to fucking start a war with another platform even though you are the only ones participating. I know this is a quickly written fucking rant but it does not invalidate any of my points. Just understand that I think reacting to things on stream on twitch is bad but posting it on YT is. (Even though xQc never made the decision) P.S I remember that his editor take like 80% or like most of the revenue on his YT so xQc does not even gain anything on his YT or he barely gets anything. But don’t quote me on that it might be a very old statement and things might have changed.

You have some like Suzy Lu who blindly stare and make funny egirl comments while watching entire episodes of something. Then you have people like SoS who show the video of the show in question for a max of 10 minutes as given by fair use and then elaborate on story of the media, characters of the media, ideas, how they felt about the episode, what they think will happen next etc; some of their reaction episodes being nearly 2 hours long after all the commentary for one anime episode..... pretty much a full fledged literary review. Also, I think why reactions get uploaded is because that's what people typically go to his KZread channel for, small snippits of reaction. If they wanted to watch full vods they would go to Twitch. Just my personal opinion on that, as well as he and his twitch audience often makes fun of "KZread frogs" as in people who don't consume his actual normal content.

I personally think that sometimes what streamers do does not meat the standard for fair use. The only reason they get away with it is because the youtubers for the most part have not tried to push the issue. While a twitch streamers viewing may indeed help a channel, if they end up liking the video. But they could unintentionally harm that channel just for having a neutral or adverse reaction to the content. If they don't like it, it increases their influence over their audiences opinion, or likelihood they will ever watch the channel again.

    The difference between xQc and Jinx is that Jinx’s entire channel is based off of him reacting while xQc’s is maybe 1/6 React Andy, 5/6 gameplay and chat interaction. xQc isn’t involved with his YT channel at all because his editors control the content that gets posted on it. Also, the reason why xQc was so defensive of Poki was because she’s another large streamer on the platform and he would receive repercussions for saying negative things about her from both Poki and her community as well as the Twitch Guidelines.
