Well, to be fair, currently, the opposition to progressive values are very blatantly stating that if they win this election in America, they plan to remove and restructure voting. It's no longer a "difference of opinion", it's inhumane and un-American. However, IPOS failed miserably in his understanding of systemic vs intrapersonal relationships. Republicans, the PARTY, want to remove voting. That's not the same as what Republicans, the PEOPLE, want, and I feel that a lot of morally lucky people who haven't had to question their beliefs (like IPOS) simply don't understand this difference due to being sheltered from it.

That's alright, you didn't know that redditors get high off their own farts, so they aren't capable of critical thinking.

The thing is. Wendigoon can’t control what his fans say at the end of the day. He can go “hey, please be respectful to people” and do his best to dissuade people from doing that. Doesn’t mean he can stop it though. Also Shadows implied heavily that Wendigoon himself was that way and that he was racist and homophobic just because his fanbase has some bad apples. He deemed that anyone associated with him is the same way and stood his ground on trivial things. At this point I think Shadows needs to take a hiatus and figure out how he perceives criticism and hate. He combines the two and deems it all as hate.

It’s so slimy and manipulative to make a 3 hour inaccurate/malicious hit piece and end it with “how you react to my disingenuous content shows who you are.”

As someone who grew up 10 minutes away from Skyline Drive and then moved to the “big city” as an adult, it’s absolutely not unfair to say that you have a statistically higher chance of an average white Appalachian person you meet being racist vs a white city person. Horror has always been a mix of conservative and liberal ideas. Some of the best horror comes from political ideas, both left and right. Two examples of sociopolitical concepts in horror that come to mind: Night of the Living Dead - Liberal (related to Civil Rights) Dracula - Conservative (cautionary tale about hedonism) To state that "conservatives in horror is bad for horror" is genuinely showing how little he understands his own content. It's also obvious from this that he doesn't spend any time with horror fans. In Search of Shadows needs to go to a convention. The vast majority of people there are entirely apolitical, or at least their opinions on horror are apolitical.

This guy made a poorly informed hate video to cry about people he disagrees with. It blew up because his video was hate based and not fact based. Now he is mad that people are calling him out for hate.

I guess the tldr of it is that there were a bunch of people who said they were wendigoon fans calling him homophonic slurs, and he got upset that wendigoon never called off the attack. Wendigoon also followed him while this was going on, which he perceived as a form of intimidation, which led to him making that video

I've been a fan of him, before he had his first million subscribers, and also hadn't heard a thing about this from Wendigoon. Instead I saw a response to the accusations on the SomeOrdinaryGamer channel. From all I have seen, Wendi has done EVERYTHING he can, not to turn attention on the guy and has repeatedly asked not to go after him. That's also why he hasn't made any form of direct response himself. I can understand the anger from fans, even if I don't blindly follow Wendigoon in everything, I also hated those false claims and hateful attacks, but it's still wrong to harass him with insulting his sexuality. Yet to be honest, it's the internet, and you will always have this kind of reaction if you do anything controversial, it's not even sure how many of those attackers are even Wendigoon fans and not just trolls who always stir up shit.

90% of my relatives are from deep appalachia, and though i dont live there, ive been there multiple times throughout my life and most of my immediate family still lives there. So i thought id contribute something small. Not everyone in deep appalachia is a white supremacist, a narcicist, or homophobic. Its a matter of deep engraved generational beliefs, mixed with subtle misdirection. Many people there grow up with those small innacuracies regarding race, like how POC indiciduals are "less hygienic, or aggresive" (which is obviously false, but they dont know any better.) The issue with appalachia is just how isolated it is. There are hardly any phone lines, and most phone access is through landlines instead of mobile phones, due to said lack of service. Theyre just very, very isolated. But every population has its ups and downs. Dont feel like cooking? Your neighbor will cook you something and bring it over. Just had surgery? The pharmacist will personally check in on you and bring your prescription. Your husband judt died, and youre now a single mom? The community will all offer to babysit and contribute. Its family above everything, but they arent monsters. Most of them have very strict morals. The bad people are just a vocal minority.

Also as someone who has moved there semi recently (about two years now) I have seen racism based in negative stereotypes twice. All examples are about to be from the same guy in a job where we had about 120 people, all white except for 3. 2 black men and one indian man. As a note for the less harmful racism from this same guy, to give full transparency. It was all him really liking kung fu movies and thinking it was cool that asians knew kung fu. That’s it. As for the worse examples we had a nee black coworker in our department, which all of us got along well, socializing and making friends. He would make a few comments about that coworkers work ethic, asking me if that was all black people since I came from a city and grew up in a black community. After being told no twice, he never brought it up again. Both of these examples are bad certainly, but with a sample size that large you think I would have heard at least one racist remark that came from hate and vitriol, but I never did. In fact, I have seem dozens upon dozens of examples of hate based racism in cities, but not once out here. I’m not saying it doesn’t exist, but it is certainly not the default. To imply anything else is pure ignorance and lies. Tl:dr: shit really aint that bad out there.

Every major attempt to try and cancel Wendigoon based on politics is almost always doomed to fail because 1.) it's always started and flamed by mentally ill, terminally online losers that genuinely argue about politics on Twitter and Reddit all day and 2.)
