Honestly I hate Twitter because I got addicted to it (because it's by far the best social media format) and the fact that the algorithm loves to promote toxicity and pornography made me realize that it was time to delete it. Even then, I had it for a few months during the acquisition, and it was an awful time both before and afterwards. Outside of some cool people, most of the what I seen ended up being like like the worlds worst magic show but instead of a rabbit coming out of a hat it’s someone trying to convince you that the entire country of Ukraine consists entirely of Nazis using a few JPEGs of tattoos.

You don't. You have to pay to get the shitty SMS version of 2fa (which is not secure and you shouldn't use it) the superior app based auth is still free.

I love that you showed corn for the example of saying something louder and farming all the credit. Quite literally the only somewhat fine quality of his twitter account

I once had someone comment under one of my posts with just @ing the British MoD because it said on my about that I was applying to join the army and they didn't think my post was very nice, and here I am today, I guess the MoD never payed any attention to their notifications because I still have a job

that picture of the puppy at 0.56 is what i used in my photo shop assignment in 8th grade

before you had a shadow organization determining who is legit or not, and they could take away the checkmark at any time if you said smth they disagreed with, now its democratized for everyone. with AI bots being so widespread and so cheap, an 8 dollar fee makes it immensely more expensive to maintain one, thus reducing fake AI content. would have been nice to mention community notes, a great improvement from the shadow agency deciding what truth is.

The masses need to cough up nearly 100$ yearly to even be seen on the site since "blue" members are prioritized. Free speech will cost you about 8$ a month unless you're famous. There are other ways to prevent bots that don't cost 8$ a month. It only costs 8$ a month because Twitter is a shit investment and 44 billion dollars is a lot of money.
