Army dont mind pointing out imperfections because we know the reasons for them - intensive choreo, singing live no matter the health status etc. As for solo careers - BTS is one of very few groups where every member is free to have their own music and no one tells them how their music should sound, they have free reign, which is amazing! but they all prioritize the group. Official contract is till 2027,but they can resign if they want to. These people genuinely like each other, so we're not too worried

@Biss am Bais their first contract expired in 2020, by that moment they'd already signed another 7yr one which came into power AFTER the first one expired. They resigned early, yes, but that doesnt change the duration of each contract

Yeah I really love the way they have so much more freedom then most other artists and they're allowed to do these things. Then again though looks like they will be diving more into solo careers🤐. Of course we know not for good though, but while they're taking a break from so much intense and exhausting group promotions that have worn them out. It's well needed though I feel bad that I didn't completely see this coming. Of course I thought about them needing a break but it was still a little shocking to see how much they REALLY needed one after hearing and seeing them say so themselves. And seeing how exhausted and worn out they really were😔. I'm glad it's not for good though and that it isn't because they're being forced to do anything, but because THEY personally, after much thought, made this decision to focus more on themselves while still wanting to be BTS in the end! Couldn't be happier this is the way it turned out.😊💜

One thing you have to remember; most of the live reactions you've done of them are them singing after a LOT of dancing and singing from the earlier songs from the concerts. Seriously, if you look at their live medleys, they dance so much that you get worried that their bodies will fall apart. And then they put in these calmer songs to help them ease off the tension.

They have lived together for so long that they really can't live without each other more than couple of days. I think they bought their own apertment to train for that.. Because we know there is probably coming to that inevitable separation for a while for them, starting Jin and Suga, who only have that 4 months age separation.. :/

I agree and true fans will not do that if there is a true mistake - What I really enjoy about your reactions is that you talk about the actual singing - I wondered how he got back on point - you explained it - no other reaction I have listed to did that - truth is the best!

they've all lived together 9-10 years, depending on when each member joined. they've discussed many times that they're so happy and lucky that they're together because they wouldn't be able to do it alone. because they have creative freedom, they get to express themeselves both through bts songs and solo mixtapes and songs. they're not one of those bands that was just put together and secretly hate each other or feel suffocated in the group. i don't think they could do it solo without each other haha. about the pitch thing, no we don't mind! i can hear them being slightly off key every now and then myself so obviously pointing that out is no problem, it's only natural that they aren't perfect. especially with the choreo! it becomes a problem when people will use some pitchy vocals to try to prove that they can't sing and are always lipsyncing or autotuned whenever they do sing on key. as if a note off key is somehow "exposing" them lmao. there's so much footage of them singing perfectly on key acapella :) thank you for the reaction, i'm always wanting more bts from you haha!

Before you go further you might want to review their solo work. I might suggest RM'S early Do You, Suga as AgustD ' s most recent Dechwita, JHOPE'S Ego. Big Hit was the first in So. Korea to encourage their artists to write, produce, and direct their own projects.

Well Taehyung has always said that individuality is important like always even if it's interview or anything and also if you have seen latest interview released by bighit for 8th anniversary of BTS they asked all members questions career... And all other members replied BTS but V replied " i will make it from now on" so now you can see how much individuality matters to Taehyung it means his solo career... They can make solo career while being in BTS also

Thank you for being fair to V. A lot of reactors seldom consider how good he really is as a singer and over-all performer. Many people think just because he is a baritone, his technique is easy to replicate.

RM just dropped a solo song ‘Bicycle’ a couple of hours ago - free music as part of Festa.

since they all release solo projects (musical or otherwise) pretty often, i'm sure their careers will flourish even after bts. all 7 are such powerhouses! acting, singing, dancing, rapping, producing, writing; very talented group. one of the members, suga, even produces for other artists and has won awards for those songs. i feel like bts is one of the few acts that has shown that it's possible to be your own entitity within a group. i saw an interview with nick jonas where he said he went to see bts at rosebowl and he was fascinated by the fact that each member had their own solo stage within the concert. it shows how you can still be your own person and do your own thing without having to choose between self or team. and as always, love your bts reactions! your explanations are so thoughtful and imformative. i feel like bts get a lot of flack when they perform live and it isn't absolutely perfect. you always approach these situations with great care and professionalism.

This song was performed right after a segment with choreo. Look at how much they're sweating and how hard they're breathing. You will always notice the most vocal imperfections from them right after they've danced or during a a segment with choreo. They have little bottles of compressed oxygen backstage that they all need when changing clothes because they are doing so much choreo and singing at the same time that they literally collapse when they're off stage. And don't think they're forced to this either. They choose to to it because this is what they love.

i love their musters, Japanese Armys are very sweet and super respectful so they deserve everything they have

No worries pointing out imperfections. Jimin is my bias. I find his voice the most moving. I think of it as piercing. Just has that ability to give you goosebumps. That said, I think he's struggled the most with stability and pitch. It's heartbreaking because he's hard on himself for those imperfections. And it's nerve wracking sometimes when I know there's a particular note coming up and I don't know if he's going to hit it or fall flat, so to speak. Confidence also plays a part. He can't get out of his own head it seems. He's definitely grown as a singer and is an inspiring example of someone who didn't set out in life to be a singer or even begin with an abundance of natural singing talent, but trained to become better. Jin and V are great examples of that too. JK has definitely improved as well, but seems to have better innate control over his voice from the very beginning, before learning any formal technique. There's a really bittersweet behind the scenes moment where JK is trying to coach Jimin on how to make a particular sound, how to place his tongue in his mouth, and it's just not working. They both realize that it's easy for JK, but Jimin can't produce that same sound even when following JK's guidance. There's either more to the technique than tongue placement or it just doesn't work for him in particular, whatever the case may be. But it's like this stark contrast between them that frustrates them both; Jimin wanting it to be easier, JK wishing he could just share his own ability since he hates seeing Jimin struggle.

Going solo? Of course it's possible, they have spoke about how they thought about disbanding because of the pressure they felt in 2018, but I don't think that wanting solo careers would be a reason if that happens, because they already have their solo careers even while being in the group, It's not something common but they make it work RM has two successful mixtapes, had created songs for other artists, have done music and stage collabs with others and even performed on a festival after the release of his first mixtape Suga has won awards for his work as a producer for other artists and his own mixtapes are really successful JHope's mixtape and collabs made him the most listened and followed Korean soloist in Spotify The singers produce, compose and write songs and also make covers, all of them have released solo songs, V have acted on a Korean drama and with Jin they made the OST, JK works on video editing on his studio and directed BTS' MV for Life Goes On, they are always breaking each other's records Also they still keep the group's apartment even if all of them have their own place now and of course they're all shareholders of BigHit company I really hope they keep doing music together for a long time, even after de military service

Sometimes I just think about all those songs that I haven't heard live, I'm from small country in South America so I just have in mind that maybe I will not have the opportunity to go to a concert (Brazil was my only chance but it's so difficult to get tickets lmao) Hope they can still go on world tours for as long as they want

i honestly really can’t imagine one particular member of bts just leaving while the others stay together like what happened with one direction. they’ve known each other for practically a decade and have such a genuine connection that you really can’t fake. i think that they all have unique sound and writing style which they could all use to go solo if they wanted but they already put out a lot of solo work which allows them to express their individuality. i can definitely see some members choosing to continue a music career after their disbandment while others not doing so, but i don’t think one would just leave. one of the rappers suga had to leave due to a shoulder injury for a few months and it really changed the tone of the group and it was visible that they felt less complete without him. they even said it themselves that when suga was gone for only a few months the group was really struggling.

I recommed you to watch Your Eyes Tell, live for Japanese tv. This was written by JungKook and the song was chosen for a Japanese movie ost.

They do get tired. If you look closely, they are covered in sweat. This is a cool down song after a couple of fast dancing songs.

It would be interesting if you reacted to some bts lyrics, some of my favorites are intro: persona, epiphany and blue & gray you could also react to the rap line, bts debuted as a hip hop group and their rap line is the one who mainly writes and composes the songs for BTS, Namjoon has more than 170 credits (not counting production credits), he is a genius with an IQ 148 and he is a great poet

Jimin highnote is amazing

They have solo works but to totally go solo and leave bts is not the idea of any of the members. Thats even make them more different than other , few members have even said some times that they can't even think about doing anything alone. They are eachother strength and weakness. So if they can't even imagine of doing work alone. They have very special bond together. Members have even wished to work together for 30,40 years. They literally said that out of 365 day they are together for 360 days. And they even are said to be like old married couples. Who gets adjusted and know every thing about eachother

The rappers already have solo albums! j-hope released "Hope World" in 2018, RM released "mono." also in 2018 and Suga is working solo under alias AgustD and released 2 albums already, one in 2016 and one in 2020. Some of the members also released singles and did some collabs, there's a lot, so I won't go into details ;)

That was really interesting, hearing the technical side of being off key. It never occurred to me that you can be off key and NOT compromise vocal technique. I thought being off key WAS compromising vocal technique, though I’m not really sure why I thought that. Just the impressions of someone outside the field of vocal performance I guess. This was very educational. I have to admit I came here cause I see those „off key“ moments with Jimin sometimes and I want to understand what happens. I observe this more at the end of shows or concerts. He than sometimes doesn’t sing a note or he seems a bit stressed when he sings one bit couldn’t get there ... but he is also someone who gives 200% on stage so no wonder 😅 I think you are entitled to say something about their voices techniques etc since it’s just facts. Most of the live concert videos are in a Japan concert. They sing songs in Japanese concerts that they would not sing in a regular concert. The fact that they make and sing songs just for the Japanese ARMY is very impressive to me. How many singers sing in three different languages with such ease. Love them and I got tickets for their LA concert yay

Jimin was often offkey on these old clips. Now he is much better thanks to covid and quarantine. You should definitely check the newer ones out, they all improved so much. I think they had many vocal lesson during this time.

It's totally ok to point things like them being off pitch cause we know too. Thanks for breaking the technique and reasoning behind all that though because I didn't know any of that! I thought it was just simply being out of tune. And we KNOW they can get really worn out from concerts. They're very professional though and try to hide it while on stage but they release a lot of behind the scenes footage and we can see them on the point of collapse as soon as they're out of sight of the audience. They even have little oxygen tanks to help them recover. And sometimes they'll be sore and in pain, but once the time is up, they'll drag themselves back on stage and push through the rest of the performances without any sign of pain or fatigue. They're truly devoted to their art and performances

They're not perfect, they won't have perfect pitch, it's perfectly normal to point these flaws out. You're a vocal coach, it's literally your job, thank you for doing so.

BTS are like the last group that would ever go solo lol. There's not one member who has said that they want to and plus they all release solo work whenever they feel like it while still being part of the band. Also something about the description of them as "machine like" and "technically perfect" really bothers me and gives off oriealentist vibes. These people are human and put a lot of hard work and passion into their music and performances, but people see this level of professionalism and tie it to "manufactured" yet people rarely say the same for western artists such as MJ who also dance and give amazing performances with amazing vocals.

There will always be some pitch issues during concerts because they perform for at least 3h non-stop every day while having very heavy choreography and constant practice performances. On another note, can you please check out MAMAMOO? They are insanely good live singers. Please check-out MAMAMOO killing voice performance

Yes, someone in the feed said it was Jimin, but he was definitely referencing Jungkook as being off key - he replayed the clip at least three times to illustrate. Unfortunately, he used the name given to him in the stream (incorrectly).

If I'm recalling correctly... BangPD, their CEO, gave RM the option of going solo or staying with BTS... he chose BTS. They all have solo projects that they release FOR FREE on SoundCloud. And yes.... they go off key sometimes, which I kind of like since it shows they are human and also... that they are singing live. :) Also... Jimin is a perfectionist and will beat himself up after a show if he makes mistakes :( He's a lot better about it now, but he used to be SUPER hard on himself.
