Here's a quick video of my rendering treatment on some 3D text. This is assuming two light sources so that the cast shadows are tempered by each other in certain places. I'm trying to experiment more with cast shadows and reflected light and this seemed like a good place to start to have a play around! My camera battery ran out halfway through so some of the process is missing (sorry!)
The final image is the photograph I took of the final piece, with the contrast tweaked to bring out a fuller tonal range.
