It feels good to watch you guys react to good stuff again, y'all are happy vitamins, lovev your hype, the scene between him and his dad decerves an Oscar winning the way he expressed all the pressure that bottled up in him was amazing but the translation here makes it even harsher becaue they put it as you can't even hear as if he was just stating this fact at the end while he was saying "how could i convince you, you're making me to convince you about something i knew you would react bad to m, when you can't even hear my music" still harsh but he was releasing years of pressure being the trophy son and he was trying to explao' to his dad which didn't seem to try understand him, and the dad had valid points too but his way he was making his son feel the pressure for all the family sake was not okay anyways the dad and son actors are amazing, the scripts is so good this show is so good I replayed this scene so many times especialy the hurt expression on the son when he says "I don't want to be your trophy anymore I want to be me" clap clap Anyways the next episode is so funny it made me laugh so much so be ready for some fun 😂

for me, all the fun begins from ep 5 onwards😆😆 first 4 gave a great introduction to both timelines + eungyeol's back story xD really my fav drama of 2023!!

Hey! just wanted to say that the part where he says "you can't even hear!" its more of a translation to "how would have i convinced you? you can't even hear music!" so like, he was basically phrasing how the dad won't understand a thing bout his passion that has got all to do with listening and then feeling the music. Which is obviously wrong, music can be felt without having to listen it. Its a language of heart

Fun fact, that "horribly sang song" by the guy with the long hair (The Story of You and The Rain) was actually performed in the past by Ikon in collaboration with the original singer, Boowhal, and that rendition was beautiful. Its not that his father don't want him to do music, as you can see his family is really open the thing is that Eun gyul put so much pressure to himself and think that his parents especially his father won't understand since they couldn't hear ( I think he said it in the first episode when he was young that he don't want his parent so know that he is learning to play guitar because he feels bad for them), he didn't tell his parents what he really wanted to do so how can his father support him? . His parents thought that what they see that Eun gyul is doing is what he really wanted to do because they don't know that he likes music. His father is not mad because of him wanting to pursue music but because him lying to them that is why in their argument his father said he should have told him and convince him.
