Twinkle Star Sprites is ADK swansong for Neo Geo. Released on arcade in 1996, this competitive shooter is full of charm but also features smart and addictive mechanics that can capture you.
I can't stop playing this game, and even though I costantly play it on arcade, Neo Geo and various consoles I can't get enought of it.
The Saturn port boast good performances, great music and smooth gameplay, as well as an expanded roster of characters.
As a trivia, I am a huge fan of Nanja Monja character. I use the "nanja monja!" voiceline as notification on my mobile.
As usual, this one (as all my playthroughs) use NO savestates. In my opinion, playing this way yields a footage more attuned to game and level design than save-state powered runs. When i feel like editing videos, i'll do a review, not a playthrough.
Recorded on Modded Saturn, 60hz + Pseudo Kai, with Retrotink2x and Avermedia Live Mini. Played on CRT with standard Sega Saturn Controller.
