Twin Turbo Mad Max Style Virago 920 Bobber - FULL BUILD
Ойын-сауық
Welcome!
In this video, we transform an old, junkyard condition virago into a fire-breathing (literally!) Mad Max style Custom Bobber, ready for the Wastelands! I utilized two T28 turbochargers in Draw-Thru configuration on this turbo setup, with two VM-38 carbs.
If you are even moderately interested in turbocharging your carb'd bike but feel overwhelmed, or don't know where to start, my "How-to: Turbocharge your Vintage Motorcycle From Scratch, Draw-Thru and Blow-Thru - A Complete Guide" video covers EVERY detail you need to know. Pitot tubes, Carbon Sealing, Draw-thru/Blow Thru pro's/con's, setting up carbs for boost, vacuum routing, fuel pump selection, fuel pressure regulator selection is all covered in this almost 50 minute long video that breaks down everything you need to know.
There's also 10 more exclusive how-to videos, covering tank painting w/rattle can, lowering forks, carbon sealing your turbo, how to lace a motorcycle wheel and a half-dozen more. Come join us!

We do commissioned turbo builds as well, from basic budget friendly builds to full on show stoppers. Contact me via the website above for a quote.
We used to put ASMR in the title but figure that it's probably best to let the viewer determine if it falls in that category themselves.

So you fabricated all your parts by hand, made your electrical plugs yourself, did all the math for the turbos, welded your own exhaust, polished your parts by hand. I know I've forgotten some things... You are a top notch mechanic, fabricator, welder, electrician. My hat is off to you. GREAT job. Thanks.

I agree with you. One think i not like that much is how he is using his tools. like the anglegrinder without guard, or using the ratchet wrench for opening. And it would drive me crazy when the vice is not fixed to the workbench.

Turbos aren't supposed to whistle.. Unless the bearings are shot. They suckkkkk
Ohhh, here goes my 37mins meditation session. Thanks a lot for doing it. It all looks smooth in the final cut but I can't imagine how much of time and effort was spent producing this video.

Not often I watch long videos in their entirety, but this was definitely one of those rare times. Great video -- the asmr bits are amazing lol

What I do with the long and pretty much all vids. On mobile 📱, is tap top right on the gear/settings and set playback speed at 2x. To consume twice the content.

Can’t believe I watched from beginning to end, great build !
Those front firing exhausts coming off the turbos look so gnarly. That is a sick bike build.
Dear mechanic. You are a great mechanic with so many ideas, and with love i will follow your youtube.
Killing it man! Another beautiful build, can’t wait to get mine going!
I usually skip to the end when I watch someones build. I watched this video from start to finish. Amazing build bud! 😎🤙🤙
Wow man how satisfying it was to watch you build that bike by hand, doing everything yourself. Amazing amazing job!!
Awesome job! Love the editing style and educational nature of the whole thing. 👍👍
I love these style builds. Really makes me want to get one some day.

Hey bro, why wait and get one one day down the road when you can actually go to a scrapyard or a junkyard and find old Beatdown s*** and restore it yourself. I'll tell you a secret. You're talking to the guy that's working on the first flying electric motorcycle that's right I'm working on a project called the hyperbike it's a hubless wheel design a bike that runs on hydrogen you put water in the hydrogen this cell with two tablespoons of sea salt and a tablespoon of zinc. You close the lid you push the button that powers up the capacitor which then causes the hydrogen the cell to start bubbling producing hydrogen when that hydrogen starts producing you then hit the other button on the starter and the combustion engine that's converted to run on hydrogen which is a small 4-stroke engine Flyers off and start spinning for motorcycle stators those skaters then stack power into 4 full farad capacitors which the engines for the Drone flight mode run on so that there is plenty of power to draw from. But it all is powered by a 5-volt phone charger and a dollar store solar panel. I figured out that if you wire the solar panel to the battery nacelle you can charge a regular 5 V cell phone battery nacelle with a 2in by 5 in solar panel from the local dollar stores😅😅😅 that with a 5 volt to 24 volt Step Up allows you to increase the voltage to 72 volts by using a step up in a Transformer from a microwave. I've also taken a 6400 V flashback capacitor which is a line capacitor from a microwave which keeps power from reverberating through your power system cooking your plugs and all that in the wall lol that's installed so if there's any electrical issues the flow of electricity stays constant along with the use of the capacitors. The exhaust from the combustion engine is pure water I've designed a way to catch that water in wicking in the exhaust and have a drain through something I created called The Whistle valve the pressure from the exhaust pushing the water through the whistle valve create enriched hydrogen when the water returns to a catchment tank with a float and a small hydrogen enrichment system similar to the one on the main tank that fuels the bike. When the tank runs low the enrichment tank from the exhaust which is been reading Ridgewood pure hydrogen is pumped into the tank it's almost completely self-replicating. If I could do what I wanted to do with magnets and Mercury I wouldn't need an engine at all but unfortunately every time I try to patent my device they keep denying it and telling me that if I put it out in the public they're going to put me under a prison somewhere. They don't want you guys to know that if you put mercury inside of a copper ball and put magnets on either side it creates a massive amounts of energy so much in fact you can hook that Implement device to a Ford Model T spark gap and put to contacts inside of the box those two contacts will receive massive amounts of plasma energy exchange from the Ford Model T spark Gap when that happens it's like a lightning storm inside of a box. They made it illegal to use one of those Model T spark gaps unsealed back in the 30s why because they knew that if you use that spark gap on a generator you can create free energy for up to 1,000 homes😅😅😅😅 I'm a beast dude I've been studying this s*** for more than a minute you are f****** insane for putting twin turbos on a little bike like that if you're going to do that bro you might as well go big and get a 30-shot bottle of nitrous and put extended travel on it take it to the drag track my friend take it to the drag track
I truly appreciate leaving in the mistakes. I can get in my own head sometimes, and seeing that even the the best of us aren’t perfect help me keep trying 🙏

You sir are a serious craft man. Bravo from France 🇫🇷
I love bobbers and i love turbos. This is everything
I loved the Virago when it 1st came out. This one is a bad, bad mama jama! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
Great job, a lot of work, congratulations!
That sound is to die for
I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this video. please make some more.
Oh my goodness what a cool build great job and great video!!!
Wow, after some 40 years someone builds a XV920 I would love to ride. Well done!

Your close up video footage on the small things puts you far ahead in my book. So many other YooToobers just don't get it. You are an actual Jack-of-all-trades. Great work. Wish I had seen your channel sooner. Better late than never and I'll be following in stitches from here on.
Really nice job again. Love your work.👍
The sound it makes idling is awesome
I use brake cleaner when i put on new grips. Makes it super easy almost like oiled. But dries super fast and then it's like glued onto the bar👌
Total wickedness👍👍👍
The hairspray tip seems worth a try! Thanks!
this guy is the real ghost rider man. Everything he touches becomes a monster of a machine!!! Heck YEAH!!!
Love your channel. I wish I lived close so I could have you turbo my GPZ 550 Kawa. I've Mad Max it out and putting your turbo set up on it would put it over the top. But I live in the New England area. Keep up the original and unique work.
thats now my favorite sounding bike, no joke. seriously well done.

Great video Liz is a legend!
Moc pěkně jsi jí udělal.
I got to hand you something I started watching this video reluctantly because I've had a couple big viragos. And I'm not a fan at all of them. But somehow you made it interesting and have to watch the whole video and you actually made that Virago interesting. You actually made a big Virago interesting my hat's off to you
🤣🤣The grinding and sanding of the seat mount above the open carbs was driving my OCD off the chart. Great build!!!!
voce é um artista!! que dom maravilhoso que voce tem, parabens!!
I love it that we have the same taste in how we want to build 😎
That is a really nice lookin bike. The battery box was a nice touch. If only time and money didn't get in the way. Great work.

would be 0 improvement to power, if anything the engine would make less especially with each turbo running off a single cylinder, you can even hear that the turbines are barely spinning
@Frollicking_Gurnard
11 ай бұрын
@@thomasodea8381 Even still, it would be a good comparison between stock and twin turbo with or without improvement. It looks like it's making decent boost though.
@DoctorMotorcycle

@@thomasodea8381 Wrong, and comments like this are why Is started posting timed acceleration runs at the end of the video. A Yamaha Virago is a giant turd stock, putting on turbo's with low boost takes it from a giant turd to just a turd. I'm building another twin turbo setup on my GS400 that's going to be GT15 turbo's on a little 400cc bike. But this time, I'm converting the bike to E85 and running 15psi of boost. I'd like it to be able to crack 100 crank HP, which I think with enough boost (closer to 20psi) it could be done. And maybe I'll even throw it on the dyno just to prove clowns like you wrong.
Outstanding work.
Very cool build. I think the Mighty Wez would have been proud to have this. If he didn’t need room for his boy toy. Well done sir.
Looks like so much fun riding it at the end!

Very cool vibe on this bike, well done !
My assessment in one word " SUPERB ".
Really sick build! I love the twin turbo configuration. Looks so clean and perfect for that engine. Really nice. What about one with long exhaust pipes instead of short? Imagine those pipes at the back spitting fire.

Great build and great sound 👌
Frigging monster you build 😬🤘
watching this stuff makes me realize how little i know about internal combustion engines. makes me want to apprentice for someone like him lol
NOICE!!!! Gotta love the whine of the Turbos as they spool up and then spin down, a bit warm for the legs though being right close to the knees. Cool idea for the exhaust pipes I would have routed them below the bike but shoties out the side is a cool idea, but would get people pulled over by the cops on a regular basis in my part of the world. Gotta say the polished tank looks way better than I thought it would too! great job!
@JohnH20111

i’m in agreement with you on that, because if i had a bike like that, i’d have the exhaust pipes routed down under the frame and exiting out in front of the rear tire
That was sick

Wild build!
I like how you spent all that time cleaning the carbys then cut and grind metal straight into them. Was amazing
Man your skill is unreal
13:20 i've been using those color coded, Harbor freight deep sockets on my drills for probably 15 years. Nothing super high torque just all basic, homeowner grade stuff, Oil changes, and fixing and assembling anything and everything under the sun. The best 17 bucks I've ever spent. i've been meaning to make a permanent holder for them, but they don't fall out of, but they are still on the holder. I bought them on in a swing case box in my truck bed.
i have no any words to judge it,but i still want to say "那实在是,泰酷啦!”🎉🎉🎉
Bravo ! Un saluto dall'Italia
That going to be a fun bike to ride 👍👍

i use my breath when putting on new grips. I breathe into the grips like how u would fog up a glass and then quickly shove the grips on. works everytime. I miss building bikes.
