I appreciate so much that despite being done 25 years later, with much more advanced VFX technology available, Lynch still resorted to unsettling bad CGI and practical effects to better drive the audience about this being a direct sequel to the original and not just a nostalgic cash grab.
Everywhere Judy goes electricity follows so I like to think Laura's screaming somehow stopped Judy and "kills" her, hence the electricity going out. Interesting to think that Leland and Sara were both possessed by black lodge entities.
the headline "Asian Man Killed!!" gets me every time I see it lmao
I appreciate you adding the movie "Fire: Walk With Me" to this recap.
THANK YOU FOR RECAPPING THIS!! I know it's a really iconic series and it's inspired a lot of shows but i just dont have the time to sit down and watch the full story
Your explanation is way better than another one I have watched which went all around the houses and Never got to the point which was incredibly annoying and confusing!!! Kudos 😊 I knew who murdered Laura before the first season ended!!!
Still one of the best shows I have ever seen.

Coffee percolator, not steam kettle. Means a lot more with it being coffee, with coffee's eternal involvement in this show! :)
This is such an amazing rundown of S3, piecing the disjointed story together. I think your work here is VASTLY underrated.
This channel is freaking amazing, each clip and series recap is so well done... Thank you...
Ah, so *that's* why Janey-E (sp?) was targeted! Mr. C came back and expelled Diane to the Zone (altering her appearance and blinding her in the process just in case someone like Briggs came across her so they wouldn't readily save her), then creating a tulpa of her so he would have his own assistant (he still has Coop's mannerisms and would "need" a Diane). With her memories of her inherited life, while planning to create Dougie as a back-up in case Coop tried to come back, Tulpa-Diane suggests to Mr. C that they hide Dougie by having him live an unassuming life with her unassuming half sister. I'm actually impressed at how much is alluded to in the show but not outright said, as it shows Frost and Lynch heavily discussed the backstory behind everything prior to making this. Thank you very much for helping make S3 more digestible!
Unglaublich wie strukturiert und gradlinig LOST im Vergleich zu Twin Peaks wirkt. Freue mich auf dein X-Files / Akte X Recap!

the idea of the ending being a dark one is both amazing and horrific, i recently watched s3 for the first time (i had seen s1 many times and s2 less ) and WOW oh wow. wild roller-coaster this show is

i didn't understand any of the season 3 explanation ....i might need a pie chart or extensive mental diagnosis.
This has to be the most confusing show ever made

Great show. One of my favorites. Very nice summary!
I love on how this inspired Deadly Premonitions and loosely inspired Alan Wakes
This is amazing. Thank you!
Thanks man! This was an awesome job!

Hello @RecapAndChill, marvel released the trailer for X-men '97, it releases on 20th March and it is a continuation of the original X-men: The animated series, so can you please make a recap video for that X-men: The animated series. It would be a great help for us from you.

thanks for the recap. i watched the first 3 episodes and jesus...
Please recap Six Feet Under
SPOILER: IMO I think it’s clear Cooper/Richard with Laura/Carrie defeated Judy bc once Laura screamed the electricity at house went out, and the black lodge was also out of power/no more juice…hence no more evil spirits/dopplegangers

Agreed
I thought you'd talk about the mysterious Leland spirit at the end of Season 2. Is he the spirit of Leland, or Leland's doppelganger? Heck, he could even be a Leland tulpa! With that, what was the role of the Laura doppelganger in S2? So many unanswered questions!
It were doing old classics now, might I recommend Buffy the Vampire Slayer at some point in the future?

Amazing series, pure art. But this recap only scratches the surface, I'd recommend TwinPerfect's review if someone wants to dig deeper.

Twin Perfect is great, but I see our videos as serving different functions. Mine is an overview that hopefully helps people understand the overall plot of the series, including the ending. And I made a concerted effort to use as little personal theorizing as possible and stick solely to the metatextual facts of the series. But that can be really difficult in a show like Twin Peaks, so Twin Perfect's 4 hour+ deep dive is also a good resource for the more minute details and explorations of themes. Consider my video to be the Albert Rosenfield and Twin Perfect's to be the Phillip Jeffries.

twin perfect’s video is an interpretation not a summary/explanation of the in universe and he focuses too much of his meta narrative interpretation it takes away the value of the story

I really tried to understand and watch this show . Super confusing
I am and always was BOB.
Thoughts on Twin Perfect's analysis?
Is this video quieter than normal?
After watching this show I was confused scared and felt weird asl I have a reoccurring dream about that red curtain place and I always run away from it
Show produced from the sick minds of David Lynch and Mike Frost.
After watching this I can totally understand why I had no interest in watching this show. 😂

Watch up until Leland dies and then the S2 finale, then FWWM, and then stop. It's a great show if you do that.

@@juanita-darkdid that but did feel I was missing a ton of stuff. Watched up till S2 E10 then skipped to S2 E20 after reading up the wiki synopsis for those 10 episodes. Just couldn't get through them so boring. But the last 3 episodes then have whole bunch of characters hadn't seen yet etc so didn't really like them. Couldn't care for Annie for example nor the whole Windom Earle thing.
The basic idea is stolen from Gerard Nervals book Aurelia.
dude....I normally love your recaps and I know you have to introduce characters but there was like 40 people you set up in 3 minutes lol

He did this very linearly, but it's not a linear series - and a lot of this has many many layers that do not come through with a superficial recap of just the events as they are.
LMAO FüM.......
Minor correction: The FBI was brought in specifically because Ronette crossed a state line, not because the locals were in over there head (although they were, in reality).
I named my son Cooper because I love this show sooooo much x

Great recap, but this show was a bunch was mumbo jumbo, like any other Lynch vehicle. Anyone can put together random scenarios and call it a great puzzle to uncover
I gave up after season 9. Just watched this and so glad I did. Season 5 was the last enjoyable season. The stories just got too whacky. Too many characters and cheap storylines. Thanks to this though, glad I’m caught up for The Ones Who Live. Apparently I didn’t miss much, but episode 1 of the Rick show is really good so far.
The first season of Twin Peaks was solid; but the show started to go downhill afterwards. Especially the third season. Twin Peaks: The Return was very poorly written. Hardcore David Lynch stans refuse to admit this; and they create their own creative and interesting theories to make up for the third season's incoherent writing.

@@kkuwana Dude, there's no need for you to polish David Lynch's b@lls. He doesn't need you to defend his piss poor writing. I'm sure he makes a lot more money than a lot of people for producing the trash he produces. Also, you don't know me personally, so it's quite presumptuous of you to assume I've never written anything; as well as you assuming how much money I make.

@@dannyknightblade4592I actually think that Lynch let Mark Frost take over the writing for the most part, to make up for missing most of S2. Unfortunately, Frost has certain propensities and Lynch wasn't interested in revisiting nostalgia, so we got what we got.

After watching this I'm glad I never watched any of the related media this video recapped. Anyone ever participate in that exercise where someone starts a story and passes the paper to the next person to write the next paragraph and the next person and so on until every one in the group takes a turn and you end up with a story of great ridiculous nonsense. That's exactly what this series seems like. Every week they hired a new writer to create an episode until they produced this crap.
