She was only about eight years old. I’ve seen this video quite a few times now, and I never fail to still get chills from it! The other musicians are very talented, but there’s absolutely no doubt she stole the show. And I’m sure that’s why they invited her!
Prostration is basically an important part of our religion. We go down on our knees and touch the forehead and our noses on the ground symbolizing absolute submission to Allah (God). It is part of our mandatory five prayers a day. When we are overwhelmed it is this position that brings us closest to Allah and makes us forget about this world and focus on the hereafter which is basically our purpose in life- to prepare for the next one by doing good deeds and refraining from evil. So the whole song is about realising our purpose of life and living by it.

just shows how a lot of westerners don't understand religious sentiments and completely misunderstand them, it's just not a part of most westerners culture to have any belief in God and it's hard for them to relate to it, ( i am westerner myself)

@@justahumanbeing.709 anyone will get it in a second, if they decide to perform the sajdah/ prostration, as though in front of God even if they don't believe it, maybe 3 times in a row, and see how they feel after that. it takes a minute or two. Dr. Jeffrey Lang among others have written about this

@@varunsharma9971 Sufi music doesn't belong to India nor is it indian what the hell is wrong with you? Don't lie !!! Sufi music is the devotional music of the Sufis, inspired by the works of Sufi poets, like Rumi, Hafiz, Bulleh Shah, Amir Khusrow and Khwaja Ghulam Farid. Qawwali is the best-known form of Sufi music, and is most commonly found in the Sufi culture in South Asia. However, music is also central to the Sema ceremony of the whirling dervishes, which is set to a form of music called Ayin, a vocal and instrumental piece featuring Turkish classical instruments such as the ney (a reed flute). The West African gnawa is another form, and Sufis from Indonesia to Afghanistan to Morocco have made music central to their practices. Some of the Sufi orders have taken an approach more akin to puritan forms of Islam, declaring music to be unhelpful to the Sufi way.[citation needed] Sufi love songs are often performed as ghazals and Kafi, a solo genre accompanied by percussion and harmonium, using a repertoire of songs by Sufi poets. YOU GET YOUR FACTS INTACT!!
My sister is a classical music instructor. The raag(notes progression) in this song is 'darbari'. Each raag holds an emotion. For example 'yaman' brings the feeling of longing, pain and love. 'Desh' holds the feeling of devotion/patriotism. Mohana raag is happy feeling of being in love. We are instructed not to use falsetto(even-though it makes hitting notes easy) because it hampers the expressiveness of emotions in music. For a happy and merry song falsetto is good. But for a deep and emotional song it makes the music less serious. The problem with todays music is all songs are starting to sound alike, uses same set of notes. Raag helps to preserve the uniqueness and feel of the song throughout. Hope you are reading this, loved your detailed analysis.

Yes, almost same Darbari aalap as by the great NFAK in The last temptation of Christ
I just love watching reactions when people see Hadiya. Jaws drop, eyes lock and totally mesmerized by her voice and expressions. True prodigy.
She is future 🌟...love for her from Bharat 🙏🇮🇳 🇮🇳🇮🇳.. watched her for so many times before still came for her🙏😊
You can see Hadia’s Ustad sitting next to her playing harmonium. He is the one who polished her talent to this level.
One thing id like to point out, the significance of the lyrics as you mentioned at 10:45. 1. Fight the war within 2. Stun everyone around you 3. Make a small world for yourself 4. Be a wanderer in spiritual ecstasy [leave all your worries behind] 1. Work on your self first 2. Be the best you can be 3. Find what you love 4. Let it kill you [Dive so deep that you get lost into what you have chosen as the direction of your life] All four point are dependant on "Bol Hu". "Say God". As muslims we believe that Allah has promised every single human to ever take birth anything they so desire if they dedicate themselves to what they love!
Lovely!! Nescafe basement and coke studio never disappoint you... Please react on "Madari" from Coke studio for a start.

React to "Ali Zafar's - Rockstar". He sung with two different voices and he is just amazing. I guarantee u'll love it.
Suggestions 1. Rang, coke studio 2. Chaap Tilak, coke studio 3. Naina Morey, coke studio
natural discourse after this is a reaction to "Chaap Tilak" or "Rung" from Coke Studio. Legendary performances.
My favourite song from Nescafe Basement is "Akhiyan Udeek Diyan". I love Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's performances of it, but Nescafe Basement did something really unique with an iconic song. I'm sure you guys will be blown away by it as well.
Last part makes me tears automatically came out when I hear the little girl sang. It's so emotional
prostrating when we pray, the top of the created body (head) is bowed down to the ground in respect towards the Creator of creation
You guys are amazing and very honest with your comments
React to yariyaan by Momina Mustehsan and tera woh pyar. Both of these songs are sung by her
I love this song Hadiya Hashimi is incredible she gives me goosebumps everytime I hear her. She is mindblowing at 8 years old she did this! Insane talent. They are Pakistani!!!!! The lead singer Adnan is great! 💜💜💜💜💜
Listen to Chaap Tilak by Rahet Fateh Ali and Abida Parveen another great Coke Studio production!
*Omg isn't it soooo amazing?! I just posted my reaction to this song! Loved it so much! Adding to my playlist!*
Good to hear profession input to these songs, thank you
You’ll find the most beautiful romantic songs in pakistan too, its just that sufi saints have made such a big impact on the subcontinent, & pakistan has over generations held on to old sufi poetry. Now, the current generation has also reintroduced ancient words again through music. However, pakistan’s music is diverse, rock music & pop especially from the 90s!
If name of God in song, then the song is called sufi song
Love this amazing song ❤️every time I get goosebumps
Thanks for reacting in this video
Watched this video and subscribed right away. Lovely way of deepdiving
Some of the earlier Coke Studio songs produced by Rohail Hayat were the best. He was the genius behind the creation of Coke Studio and is known for his ability to fuse Eastern and Western instruments/music. Pakistan has some of the best vocalists in South Asia. Matthew always awesome ...❤❤❤
love the way you guys react
Love your reactions ❤️ plz do more guys keep it up
This is Sufi music snd philosophy. It takes a listener in a trance like state and a new world where worldly glory and glitter loses its importance. Gives one goose bumps. Glad to see your reaction. Although I understand your need to stop the song several times to analyze it, it is supposed to be listened to with your eyes shut and no pause to truly enjoy the magic created. Besides that is culturally the way to respect the song.
Yay lovely reaction guys thanks
Blown away by the song
A very intelligent reaction...Plz also react on "Rang" and "Chaap tilak" by Coke studio💝✌
This song is from movie malang ..the lyrics is in context with the character of the movie

Listen to Haiderium (Nescafe Basement) for a very different type of singing experience. That particular genre is called Qawwali.
You guys make the best reaction videos. Would love to see you reacting on Abdullah Siddiqui's and Meesha Shafi's Cyan Magneta song.
Your brother is like: "Say harmonizer one more time, I dare you, I double dare you", hahaha
@theplayroomstudio I like your reaction videos. So far I've only seen a few and I can see you know what you're speaking about. One question, if you or anyone can answer. Do you review the songs prior to making the video?
I loved that other reactional channels just focus on just music but you also discuss the lyrics of song. Awsome, love your reaction. Plz react on "Allah Hu Akbar" from coke studio.
Please react to "Rang" and "Chaap Tilak" by Coke Studio...I'm sure you guys would enjoy them
Bol Allah hu (mean Say God here) Spiritual words, That's words connected with God, His voice is Heart touching with soul
Nyc reaction and funny also
Can you please make a 5 minute loop of that “in Britain” stutter. Thanks
hiiiii guys nice reaction...i love this song 😍😍😍😍😍more love and respect from Pakistan 🇵🇰😍👍
Hadiya is very talented. Romantic songs exist in Pakistan too, but it is all about what is in and what is not. Ten years ago it was naats. But Qawali songs, pop and fusion music is in at moment, and lyrics to God and spirituality are always best sellers.
You both should react to the video titled "Ep 13: What is raag?" by Anuja Kamat. This is something you will find really helpful in knowing Indian classical music 🎶 keep tuning ❤️
Nice Reaction video dear, Love you 4m Pakistan
React to "Resistance - Abdullah Siddiqui" by Nescafe Basement. You'll love it. 🇵🇰

Hello Gents. Hope your well. So this genre of music is named SUFI music. Its a genre entirely dedicated to spirituality or spiritual sounds. Its mainly a Pakistani thing but performed particularly in Pakistan and India. Its a genre thats deeply felt in South Asia. 🙂
Pakistan Coke Studio and nescafe basement is Best !!! We Have much talent in every Filed .. Love Pakistan
Suggesting u song "super star" coke studio... Btw nice reaction 👍
There are many words in Arabic which means God (Allah) and Hu is one of those words...when the singer says....say Hu hu hu. He refers back to God and in spiritual side of Islam this word (Hu) is often used for suppplication/repeatinition
Wow amazing voice a little girl she is from Pakistan 🇵🇰 great 👍❤️❤️
Ur eyes so beautiful can we change it❤️😊
guys guys guys you have to listen to "chaap tilak " by coke studio , u will love it
Thanx for reacting on my suggestion......kindly react on Tera Woh Pyar by Asim Azhar n Momina Mustehsan
This is not a song This is a Sufi word, like a prayer
How do you enjoy music by stopping it so frequently in between?
Prostrating means bowing down in front of our Creator in worship
The playroom team, just like in western music have cords C D E F G A B in sub continent music we have Raag. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Da Ni. these are seven, Hadiya Hashmi is making a surgam with these notes. I hope I added some info for you here.
