Friends and travelers, greetings! Gathering with you this last year has been a glorious fever dream of excitement, comradery, and story. This is my attempt to put that dream into a bottle to share with you for Thanksgiving, as feels deeply appropriate! Expressing how much a community of creative and accepting friends means is nearly impossible, but I hope a sliver of that joy sparks when you watch.
A mix of light and dark makes for the best storytelling. My focus on this one was to really dance between the two. Twin Mask is a game where at times you can be laughing, light-hearted, and frolicking without a care, then moments later gripped by sadness, fear, or adrenaline. One side gives weight to the other, as is most fitting for the namesake our game has adopted. In that sense, this is probably the most “Twin Mask” piece I’ve made.
There are a couple shots mixed in here from my wonderful and talented friend Derek Ceca Res . Also I finally make an appearance in my own video thanks to Jesse Lopez snagging a shot of me. Thank you all for being so wonderful to film.
