I've already played it and I think TI is screaming that it needs a common map (similar to the original game but more condensed) with more player interaction and fighting for resources. That would make the perfect game within this genre. The game would be much more tense and similar to the original game, while still being R&W. I hope they do for a future expansion.

Looks like a typical Fantasy Flight game with needless complexity that doesn’t add to the gameplay experience. You would think they would have learned to create an elegant system by now. I’ll stick with Eclipse Second Dawn.

Well you would be wrong. I’ve been playing it and there’s no complexity other than the sheer amount of choice you have each turn. And that’s the good type of complexity. It’s not as complicated as it looks.

"needless complexity"? From FFG? Umm, what?! What are you talking about? Honestly, I think you have them confused for someone else. Try a Martin Wallace game if you think their games are really complex. "Great Western Trail", either "Brass" game, or "Blackout: Hong Kong"? Yeah, I enjoy them but those games are much more complex than anything I've ever played from FFG.
