Twig Thorn by Leaf Review: Isnt it the same as the twig?
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
The Twig Thorn by Leaf is very close to the original twig however it has a bit more bite. although its barely noticeable to the naked eye you are sure to notice it on the first stroke of a shave. this more aggressive razor was used as my primary razor for about two weeks. Once I felt comfortable telling you about it I could not wait the full 30 days. So does it pass my test? of course, so get yours at the link below.

yes they do.
I found the Thorn too aggressive, especially on the ATG pass. Got too many cuts so I sold it and got the Twig… For me, it’s perfect. Plenty efficient and aggressive enough, yet super close & smooth, with no nicks or cuts. Awesome razor.

you know you didn't have to sell it and could have returned it for the twig instead as they have a return policy. but yea some people the thorn is too aggressive I found that for me it's not and im glad that the twig worked out for you! thanks for letting us all know your findings! and for watching my video.
Thanks for showing-off the"Thorn". If I had to make a choice, I'd go for the milder "Twig".

I just went ahead and purchased the thorn, I’m excited to see how smooth it gets my face, my face does not get irritated easily at all, most razors I’ve tried I haft to go over my face a lot and some parts don’t get super smooth still a tiny bit of stubble, I’ve had a couple safety razors and they were okay but I don’t like the double blades because I just have ocd with having to use both sides and not knowing which side is more worn or not, maybe I’m just being a baby about that though! 😅 Thanks for the video and info!

Awesome yea the thorn is a good razor not the most aggressive by far but You should definitely be able to go all 3 directions when shaving since you dont get irritated easily. Did this video help you make a decision on to buy or not?

I don't think that's Rose Gold from the pictures I'm looking at
@30DayReviews

yup, I had misspoken I mean to say gold nor rose gold.
I have one and it works great for me. However; the leaf supplied blades really suck. At first I thought it was the razor but I tried a Persona and a Perma-sharp, and a Feather it made all the difference in the world. It's a great shaver with the right blades.

For my hair the supplied blades work great but that is one great thing about these types of razors and thats the blade availability and options are aplenty.
I have both the Twig and the Thorn. I love the razor but there is no discernible difference between the two. Don't waste your money to buy one if you have the other.

I think for a few people the thorn will be the better option but for those that have verry sensitive skin the twig is the better option definitely. I have places on my shave that I can tell the difference between the two because of skin sensitivity. I agree though most only need one. thanks for your comment and thoughts one these products. Im sure your comment may help others.
I got the Twig but it's not efficient for my face and head. Leaves some stubble. So I tried to make up by pressing a bit , and got significant irritation. Now if I was into tossing another $59 I would try the Thorn......but I fear spending altogether $120 for something I really won't enjoy......

Depending on how long you have had it there is a good chance that you could send it back for the thorn. They have a 100% satisfaction garneted within 30days of use policy. Even if your a bit outside of that I would consider contacting them and seeing what they may be able to do for you.

How do you compare Twig Thorn vs Merkur 34C in terms of agressiveness? I'm having hard time choosing my first safety razor.
@30DayReviews
2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I cant compare the aggressiveness of the Mercure as I dont have it I can tell you the Thorn Is a nice aggressiveness compared to the twig what was not aggressive at all. so this one has just a little aggressiveness while still giving a comfortable shave with out skin irritation. Sorry that I can not do the comparison you wished however the 34c is on the list for the future

@@30DayReviews Does the Regular Twig and Thorn have the same audible feedback when shaving? Those kind of sounds are pleasing to thr ears haha

I believe that the more aggressive the razor the more audio you will hear as you shave. so the the Thorn does have a bit more
Im a beguinner and i like to shave bald head and face. Which one is best for me i got sensitive skin. I like your videos and i like the leaf razors they are ergonomic beautiful. I have a gillette king c safety razor and the merkur 34c but they dont give me a good shave. Which one you recommend me.thank you and Godbless you always and your family.

Personaly I prefer to use the made for head shaving razors but if your set on using a Leaf I would suggest the Leaf as its head moves and I think that there maybe a less chance of cutting the head with that then with one of the twigs. the Leaf is also not as aggressive since its multibladed.

Another way to tell the difference between the Twig and Thorn is if you open them up and look at the base plate, the Thorn has a little bump where the Twig doesn't.

I have both, neither has a bump, and one is not more aggressive than the other.
I just tried the Twig and although it is perfectly fine I just didn't find it to be worth the price and am sending it back. I already have a couple of safety razors and honestly I didn't really notice any difference using the Twig besides the style. You still shave the same way so why spend $60 on that? I really enjoy my Merkur and for half the price it does the exact same thing and is double sided.

Thanks for sharing! yea I think the Leaf really is for the new to single edge shaving as it has even less learning curve to it then a DE does. I think their quality is better then some of the De razors I have handled in the past, but I do see your point on likening your other ones.
@NiqueSir
Жыл бұрын
I think the point of it is, that although there is a big upfront cost, it will save you money after the first year, as blades are £1/2 for packs of 10/20, and cartiges cost upwards of £10/15 for packs of £4/8 depending on branding.
@dobiesj
Жыл бұрын
There are two clear benefits that I notice with single edge razors. First, they're more maneuverable for detail work. Second, I get the full benefit of the blade. When I use a DE razor I always end up using one side more than the other so end up changing blades when one side is still good. With a SE razor I fully utilize the blade.
I bought the Twig first and absolutely loved it. I heard the was Thorn more efficient and closer. It wasn't for me, I cut myself several times and I felt the blade which wasn't a good experience. I sent the Thorn back and now I know the difference and it's a big difference. Huge fan of the Twig, but not the Thorn.

makes sence and thats why they have a great return policy. I prefer the thorn over the twig but thats the great thing now they have 2 options for people.
What’s better for cutting long hair? Twig or Thorne?
@30DayReviews
Жыл бұрын
I dont think anyone should cut long hair with a razor as it should be taken down as close as it can be with an electric. but I think they would both be about the same as the only difference is the distance of the first blade to the skin. That being said I prefer the Thorn myself

anything is possible to cut yourself with that has a blade. However used properly the blades should be set correctly just like any cartridge razor to where you wont cut yourself with it.

Better is relative to what you like If you like more aggressive razors then the thorn is the right one for you if you prefer a softer shave with less bite the standard would be what you want to get.
