Twice Thwarted: Hiking the South Loop of Linville Gorge
Third time's a charm? Maybe. The Grand Loop is a tour through the best (and most rugged) parts of the iconic Linville Gorge. Having failed twice, I return with high hopes of getting it done and in the process am reminded of what keeps bringing me back.
Editor's Note: In this video, I incorrectly refer to this hike as the "Grand Loop," which is actually a 40+ mile long loop. I apologize for the error and any resulting confusion.

Such a great weekend. Looking forward to bringing you (or you and Craig) lunch and snacks if you do the loop in a day ❤ Another fabulous video babe! I especially loved the shots from above and the little details along the way.

Thanks for taking us with you Long Haul. See you soon! BTW, I finally did the Art Loeb the other day. I cannot fathom how you did that in a day!

Congrats, brother. That is a fantastic hike. You were smart to take your time!!
If you think Spence Ridge was hard going up, wait until you try cabin or white oak hahaha

My interest is piqued!!
Nice video but this is not the Grand Loop...The Grand Loop is 40 plus miles and the northern river crossing is the bridge near the visitors center at the falls...Hope this info helps you out...

Well shoot. I found this route listed on AllTrails as the Grand Loop. Looks like I got that wrong. I appreciate the info.
