Its been my favorite band since 2018, like this spotify wrapped I was in the 0.05 listener percentage, but I didn't know anything about lore until their teaser thing before overcompensate, but it's insane Clancy drops on my birthday, it feels so perfect since the band means so much to me, I'm so hoped for it, best birthday gift

I don't see a lot of people talk about this, but Tyler did a Discord interview with the clique where he explained violism and it's basically the end goal of trying to take your own life

i've been a fan for like 2 years and kinda understood the lore before but with all that's happening here your short and clear explanation still helps lol

I’ve been following the lore since they came out with blurryface (been listening since early 2014) when Tyler explained in an interview that it was just a name he gave his insecurities to give them a seat at the table in order to deal with them. @@FX7yt i didn’t believe it up until the ned letter in the ned’s cozy fireplace. it basically confirmed a ned saw josh with clancy. it also mentioned that keons told the ned’s this would happen. the only time a Ned would’ve seen josh with anybody would be the outside music video. at the beginning of the video, it shows keons being killed, and trash the dragon being killed in the process. if he was possessing trash, it’s possible he crashed the submarine on purpose, sending josh and tyler to the Ned island like he promised.

The main reason i think this is a possible thing is because clancy talks about seeing tyler and nico in one of his letters in the jumpsuit music video so it really wouldnt add up if tyler was clancy all along and the bishops view tyler and clancy as 2 seperate people (i assume) because they were with tyler in the movie, they called him tyler of twenty one pilots, ever since that ned letter this has gotten me all kinds of confused and curious 😂

I love this break down. I was commenting so often how i didnt understand the story or lore. It went over my head and though i enjoyed the music and story telling, i stayed confused. Thanks for this. And for being funny. 😅

I just noticed something and I might be stretching a little but the colors for Scaled and Icy are Pink Yellow and Blue (ayy pansexuals rise up lol) and that to me could be the three colors of their previous albums: vessel = blue, trench = yellow, blurryface = red but got toned down to pink because they’re winning?? Idk let me know what y’all think.

i like it! another really cool theory is about the bishops being color blind. tritanopia is what the bishops are believed to have, since the banditos wear yellow as camouflage. tritanopia also makes green and yellow… look blue and pink. so some think scaled and icy is an attempt by the bishops to look like bandito colors, but they got it wrong bc they’re color blind.

I think Clancy MIGHT be a metaphor! The original Clancy may be dead, but Tyler has picked up the mantle and is carrying on his good works, with the help of NED! Obviously Dema is the place where depression resides. Clancy, The Banditos and NED are the way "out"!!

this seems honestly really stupid to comment. but thank you for making this video, my groomer was very into twenty one pilots and i realized i got groomed in 2020 when this album came out. so i associated scaled and icy with them. now with this new era i feel like i’ve finally healed and can love what i loved before again. yeah but anyways thank you.

it’s also been confirmed it’s an anagram. it has multiple meanings, which is classic twenty one pilots. there’s always a meaning that casual fans can catch onto. this is the one that reflects tyler’s actual life. then there’s what it means in terms of the lore and storyline tyler is creating.

it might be talking about the blurryface paint (tyler’s black neck and hands) but i always interpreted that line as his tattoos. all of them have personal meaning, some are religious. i always assumed it was him struggling with his religion, and wanting his tattoos to mean something again. but that’s just a personal interpretation.

Ive always thought Clancy is Tyler, i think he represents Tyler's non blurryface side. Just as Nico is a representation of Tyler's depression. Clancy is a representation of his clarity And scaled and icy being "clancy is dead" is because blurryface is in full control
