I never thought someone else had Dale and Hershel as their favorites. They aren't the best fighters but their speeches and characters are so honest and amazing that they were my 2 favorites of the show by far...

Now that Wilson has passed, it makes me appreciate his contribution to TWD all that much more. He was an incredible actor and absolutely the best supporting member of the cast ever. When they killed him I cried like a baby. Long live Scott and Long live Hershel!

A truly remarkable character, Hershel Greene... You will always be in our hearts.

Coming back and watching this video right after knowing he passed away is seriously heart-wrenching. I appreciated this man's work on portraying the role of Hershel Greene. He is my favorite character and it took me a solid week to get over his death.. and now, knowing that he's really gone, I don;'t know how I'll be able to cope on my next few days knowing the we lost an angel. ;;-;-;-;-;-;- you worked really hard, Scott, our very own Hershel Greene. how absolutely amazing this is? hershel is one of the best characters ever, we will never forget you!

I think it was his time to go, I loved him and all but he did all he could do. He passed on his knowledge and wisdom to Rick and he got to see a community again. His death furthered the story line and everyone misses him. His death was the most tragic, and he deserved it for being such a strong character.

Or that with Hershel seeing his (walker) family and others in the barn being gunned down then realizing that they had been dead all this time... He was living all those bereavement at the same time...

They're together now. Peace at last. Protecting the group from up above, just like Hershel always did.

Tyreese was the closest they had to that, but whenever somebody starts to be a voice of reason or wise person on the show, they end up getting killed off. First it was Dale, followed by Hershel, and at this point in time Tyreese if you want to count him.

***** This is really morbid, but maybe they'll never have one again. Both Hershel and Dale were moral centers for the group. Those ideals have kind of been tossed out since then.

bob was kind of like that for a while but then he died. tyreese was kind of like that but then he died. i would say, michonne, glenn and most of the time, daryl and maggie bring out the humanity in the group. I'm hoping the alexandrians bring back some of the humanity in the group.

***** Have faith all - now that season 5 is over, I think I can safely say this without spoiling it too much for anyone ... but Morgan is back and I believe he will become the moral anchor for the group and somehow bring both Alexandria and Rick's group together and take over where Hershel left off. RIP Herschel , this video was so awesome. :(

Bad things happen to Great people...

First of all, amazing song for the score of this video. Scott Wilson, one of my absolute favorite human beings. I am so glad he got to play the character of Hershel Greene before he passed away. He was a wonderful actor, but often got cast as a villain, a psychopathic killer. Scott was such an amazing actor and could play any role--good or bad. Glad he got to make such a deep impression on a whole generation of young people as man of great upstanding moral character like Hershel Greene. And he really enjoyed playing this role. Upstanding, moral altruistic, this is exactly what he was in real life--one of my best friends and always sacrificed himself for others. A beautiful soul, I will always remember and speak with his spirit. RIP, my friend!

I know that the episode that Hershel died in came out months ago, and I bawled my eyes out when it did. But the other night I was thinking and I'm still so surprised and hurt at the fact that Hershel is dead. He held the group together in so many ways and he brought Rick back and that even helped Carl come back a little also. Hershel was a strong man and it's so sad to see him leave his daughters... This is such a great video, much like your others! Thank you so much for this amazing Hershel tribute!

This!!! Such a beautiful tribute! You demonstrated Hershie's journey perfectly - The contrast between "there is no hope for any of us" and his hopeful smile in his final moments just breaks me! Looking at Rick like a proud father... What a great loss for the group. And for us :'(

I'm probably fucked up for admitting this but I was happy when Hershel died. No, not because it was Hershel but because SOMETHING was finally happening. Sometimes the shows pace is so slow and dull you just feel great when finally they go off the edge. regardless, this is an amazing send-off video and even made me, the bastard I am, tear up for the old man.

Hershel's story was complete. It was the right time for him to die, and in the right way. The governor rejected his last chance and did the worst thing possible. As soon as Hershel saw Rick give that speech, it became the perfect time for both Hershel and the governor to die..

Dinosaur Kale Couldn't describe it better myself. Hershel did what he had to do for the group, everything was going to right way because of him. Rick was on track again, he was humane again. However this doesn't mean that I wanted to see him go... His speeches were so powerful and he was such an amazing character. I still get chills when he talks about risking your life by drinking water and breathing, his best one in my opinion.

Svib Editz Um, okay??? Don't where the fuck that came from since I never said they need a shit ton of death. But it's true that the show is more scared of killing people than the comic and as a result the fucking cast is stacked to a ridiculously large size at this point. They need to thin these people out some. Hershel had a great death, though. Plenty of build-up.

Hershel is the OG character on the walking dead. He was the last living hope. Hershel deserved so much more. I wish he could have made it with Rick, but I suppose he did in a way. Hershel truly touched Ricks heart, and is still apart of him.

When Herschel died it was so heart breaking and senseless. I’m wondering, was Scott Wilson ill at that time, because he died in real life not too much later. RIP both of of you. You are missed by many I’m sure.

Have you guys noticed how everything was never the same after Hershel passed? Rewatching TWD recently has made me see how much of a difference he made. He was keeping that group together, making them hold on to hope and humanity, making sure they could see there was more to life than just surviving. Everyone was so shook by his death, both the characters in the show, and us fans... Man, this is some good writing and acting. x)
