Yes, Rankin Bass did all the stop motion Christmas movies, The Last Unicorn and the original Lordof the Rings and The Hobbitt cartoons. I've always loved everything Rankin Bass. Jules Bass just passed away in October of this year.

Oh wow! I haven't seen The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit cartoons in years! I didn't realize they did those! That's a shame, I didn't know he had passed away recently.
I love this one... I watch it every year.

This was a fun one! 🙂
Good morning David and Toni! I always looked forward to these little 30 minute Christmas specials as a kid; and actually still love my Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer special most of all...lol. Christmas seems to hold a special place in our hearts, perhaps the one time of year we can forget about the world's craziness, and feel joy a love(I know, sappy right?).. lol. David, the stop motion specials were the best! There must have been a lot of time and work put into those for sure. Just think, they've been showing most of those since the 40's or 50's. Hope you two have a wonderful day. Thanks for sharing these wonderful memories!

Thanks Kevin! I loved the stop motion stuff growing up! Rudolph was my favorite of the stop motion specials too! My favorite animated one was How the Grinch Stole Christmas. :)
Nice! Thank you!

Thanks! We wanted to try something a bit different. :)
I love this movie and I’ve never seen anybody do a reaction on it. I actually don’t know too many people outside of my family that actually know about it. Do you know about the Rankin bass movie universe? (edit: sounds like you do) It’s all the old classics Rudolph frosty this one and a ton of other ones it’s all in the same universe which is really interesting because most of the animation is what stop motion or whatever it is and then all the sudden it’s full on animation

I grew up watching all of the Rankin Bass specials and still watch them with my kids now. This was one that I only saw once as a kid and didn’t rediscover it until years later on DVD. 🙂
