Serene! I didn't feel like I was watching a review. This was a man talking about what he loves most - motorcycles. And in a way that exudes pure class. Beautiful. No drama, no nonsense, no spec sheet readouts, no excessive camera pans, a beautiful underlying music - everything immersed me completely! Great job, Motorinc.

I'm absolutely loving how intellectually placed and articulated these ideas are, yet they are strikingly simple. Shumi, sir, I'm never failing to be impressed by your art. It's the same across all the videos till date on here. I'm exceedingly impressed with the value that each video brings to someone like me who is just on the ledge to start off on my motoring journey. As a Hunter owner, I 100% agree with your verdict. My main reasons for picking the Hunter weren't its performance figures, but rather the city friendly character and the retro styling. I am okay with a slow bike in that sense, one which I can occasionally push to 100-110. Other than speed, I find Hunter absolute fun and nimble to ride. It's a bike that I can confidently take anywhere (yes, I've pulled off-roads with it too). No complaints from me tbf. I got this bike for the torque and agility, and it fulfills those expectations

I am getting a Hunter and I would like to have my take too, I picked the hunter because I am simply a city commuter who rarely goes onto the highway. And I am not used to speeds over 80kmph as I rode only scoots before. I am a 160cc commuter buyer, who extended my budget to the hunter ( I got it through CSD, so a bit cheaper than outside) because it felt a lot more engaging than the commuters and even 200cc bikes up to an extent. I am just not at all an RE guy and I never thought I would buy one. I agree with you perfectly and for now what it is, it feels like just an entry point to the Enfield brand. I am an exception due to the price I get it for, which is just as much as a 200cc.

Love the unique and simple style of reviews!! Rather than seeing spec sheets for 5 mins, you’re making it more deep, talking about things your average joe wouldn’t even bother about. This opens up a new realm where people actually like the vehicles they buy and don’t just pick the one that seems to be the best.

Bikes on rear paddock stands, shumi on shirt and trousers, with hands in pockets, thought this is going to get preachy again (love just the opposites, bike on tarmac, shumi all geared up, and hands revving up the throttle), but boy- oh-boy, this is again a gem of cinematography, coming straight from the heart of a motorbike enthusiast, looking forward for the next video.

Clicked on this video expecting one thing, but got something completely different and I'm pleasantly surprised at this honest, almost poetic format of delving deeper into these bikes. After having seen Shumi's outright reviews on PD for quite a while (which are amazing) this video and it's more personal touch where the mere fundamentals and backstory of the bikes are being questioned and analysed to a remarkable degree, I've begun appreciating Motorinc even more. The future is bright lads, you guys are reinventing automotive journalism and we're all for it. All the very best! On an unrelated note, my dad recently bought the Ronin and it fits his requirements pretty well. City only riding, light, comfortable, smooth and nice back seat for my mom. He likes the quirky styling too. Despite this I agree very much with what Shumi says in this video. I have an NS200 and when my dad bought the Ronin naturally I was very excited to have a go at the new bike in the house whenever possible and yes I like the bike, I think it's a very pleasant experience and a well put together product but it's not an exciting experience. It's relaxing but it's not involving. There's nothing wrong with the bike I believe it works as a relaxed city bike very well but it doesn't get me excited to head out like my Pulsar does and therefore maybe every 7 times I head out on my bike, I'll use my dad's one once. I like the Ronin but I see scope for improvement for sure. It's working well for my dad and I'm very glad about that but I'm almost certain about one thing; if his bike use went beyond the daily urban commute and involved highway speeds and intercity travel, this would probably not be the bike sitting in our parking right now. Looking forward to the forthcoming Motorinc video :)

I'm glad to find that I'm not the only one in the audience to whom Shumi's passionate words in his typical slow-paced rhythm, always accompanied with unmistakable confidence from years of experience are like music to the ears... This video as a whole sounds like those conversations you have while cruising on a bike through a blissfully lonely road, and there is no one but the you, your thoughts and the rushing wind in that discussion 😊. Kudos! Keep it up!

I'm an owner of Hunter 350 for over a month now and all I can say is that I absolutely love my bike. Yes it could've been better at a lot of things which could've priced it out of my reach but for what it is, it is an excellent product. I absolutely love the exhaust note and the maneuverability which it possesses. I believe people are being very unfair to this bike.

Hey Sudipto! First, congratulations no the new bike! We are very happy that you're enjoying your Hunter! Don't worry about people, reviews and verdicts. They serve, to us, only as a suggestion for how to approach the thought process of which bike to get. The right bike for you? No one but you can decide and get it right. And if you're happy with your bike? That's all that matters. Tip: Someone in the comments suggested that spending money on the Classic 350's shocks for the Hunter improves comfort. If this is a concern for you, do explore this idea.

I totally agree with your opinion because I have moved ahead of slower 350s long back. Hell even I chose the Himalayan over the classic 6 years ago. It's not the best, no bike is. Hunter seems to be THE classic 350 for people who can't handle the heft. It's just a welcoming motorcycle for 100cc riders, and it being like the classic, calm and just sufficiently fast, is a good thing I think.

Very refreshing in terms of presentation style. Keep up the good work. Turns out I shared the same assessment in both the shorts. The TVS could have been so much better but it isn't. I still won't consider the Hunter as my RE motorcycle because it is still the same. RE need a fresh outlook, like HD did. HD tried out the V Rod, LiveWire and the Pan America. They may not have been class leading bikes but they were bold steps that HD showed that it could take. RE has done a good thing with their 650, they need to show they can do more.

Thanks Abhijeet! We don’t think he’s unaffected as much as he’s deeply affected and then needs to speak out! 😊
This is awesome stuff

Shumi's reviews are always educational that sets him apart from the usual spec sheet description reviews. Fortnine and shumi are the 2 creators who are in a different league altogether.❤️❤️❤️

Thank you Akashdeep!
Recently got Ronin and I am in love with it, such a gentle and refined machine, I like its start, its exhaust, comfy seating, and that torque on low gear where as I beginner I was perfectly able to handle it.

Hunter makes a great beginner bike, similar to Xpulse or R15. It does stand out in a price segment that is too populated. Ronin on the other hand, doesn't stand out. It looks different but then so did Suzuki Intruder. Just 2 years ago I was looking to buy a beginner bike. My choices were limited and budget was less than 1.5 lac. I had shortlisted Xpulse, R15 and Avenger. 1 dual sport, 1 supersport and 1 cruiser. But I ended up buying a used Honda Navi and saved a lot of money. This year I jumped to Interceptor 650 as I needed a lot more acceleration and something that would keep me busy with mod potential. Hunter 350 being a RE has lot of mod potential. The market is already flooding with aftermarket accessories for the Hunter, you can truly customise it. Hunter is often compared to a Triumph, the baby Bonneville they call it. And I think it's an honour. Just take Bonneville T100, for example. It has a 900cc engine that produces 64bhp, last I checked, Ninja 650 makes more power than that. But fast isn't what Bonneville is supposed to be. You're right about Hunter being just a RE, just another air cooled slow bike. Maybe RE is held back because of its own fan base, just like Harley. They call Hunter a fake RE, some don't like the new classic and the 650s because they are too smooth and not loud enough. They still want kick starters and "dug dug". RE can try to make modern high revving, liquid cooled motors and even electric bikes, but they're gonna lose old fans. But also, they'll have nowhere else to go. RE is the only one still pushing large capacity air cooled singles. Damn, I confused my brain again.

It isn’t that complex. If Royal Enfield had tried to make a non-Enfield for its non-usual customers, say, in 2009 when their bikes were old and their engineering capacity was limited… it would have failed. Today? They have a large engineering team that’s clearly doing the business. They also have a brand that, we think, stands for enthusiastic riders more than it stands for old-school riders (as was the case earlier). We think they can easily make a non-complex reasonably fast street machine and blow away the non-RE riders…

The output pr cc of the triumph 900cc twin cylinder engine is 0.072.. Multiple that with 350cc you get 25.2hp.. The triumph is a square engine (bore/stroke = 1).. The enfield has a longer stroke than bore (bore/stroke = 0.84),, so never expect much power out of a air-cooled long stroke single cylinder engine. The scram 411cc single with bore/stroke ratio of 0.9 can be boosted to around 28hp from the stock 24.5hp with a modified camshaft.. Enfield should talk with the UK engineers that make these new camshaft for the Enfield engines.. It would not be a big increase in price but a scram 411 with 28hp from factory and a Meteor/classic/hunter with 23.3hp and 30Nm would be suitable for the US and European market and if all models across the board were 10kg lighter..
Love what you said and how you said💗

So i rode the Re hunter and i couldn't find anything wrong with the bike as such,But as Shumi said i was also not involved with the bike at all i didn't feel like that i want to ride it again!! It's a wonderful bike but it couldn't match the satisfaction that i used to derive from my old classic 350!

As hunter owner i can say he completely right , hunter was never ment to compete with Ronin on features as Hands down Ronin wins but it was meant to win on speed acceleration as it was roadster they made it same tuning as classic and meteor, they should have given 22 bhp n torque could have been reduced to 25, comfort wise i have made few modifications like handle bar raisers, rear suspension change to classic 350 and better seat but still engine is same which is little bummer

heyy can i get your insta ID as I wanna talk about the suspension u changed and how its working for u?
This is what Indian motorcycling needed- not just review the product but take a step back and see its purpose- is it actually trying to satisfy my requirements? Will I be able to accept the shortcomings of the product and embrace it for what it is? Such questions are necessary for a more fulfilling ownership experience. Great work👍🏻
