I think people are misunderstanding - Nana's voice isn't too "girly", it's that she talks with too much "aegyo". Basically, she's gotten used to acting cute endings to words whenever she talks, so she's actually saying things in a different manner - it's not the tone of her voice that's the problem.

Yes. And I think she explained it because when she's in Orange Caramel, their voices are supposed to be sounding nasally-like or aegyo-like, when singing, that's why.

+CrixzCel Ver I felt kind of bad for her.. since it's probably a really stuck habit already :/ Although she should still be able to speak in a non-cutesy way sometimes too since there's bound to be occasions where it's not appropriate.. so I guess this is good for her :)

나나 정말 매력 있다 ㅎㅎ

she's soft spoken and feminine! Nothing is wrong with that, she is a woman and not all possess the husk similar to a mans. I get that it is military so they have to be hard on her, make her tough, strong, and a confident well disciplined leader. She seemsto have a sort of introverted personality, most times I see her she very quiet and distant but not really (its like she sometimes doesn't know how to talk to others if she doesn't know them well or feels close which is were trouble talking comes into play) but she is very kind, gentle, and polite normally. and is also funny if she feels comfortable. Qualities I can relate to. Nana just needs to practice on projecting her voice and command peoples attention instead of timidly asking for it.

I was in that situation before. Training to change my voice tone in pronouncing Korean words (TaeKwonDo training). It was tough. I mean really tough. It was not easy. But I manage to change. I feel u, Nana. Salute her in military training. Hwaiting.

Jhope in sweatpants i have a pretty husky and deep voice compared to my girl classmates. And for people to understand me I have to turn my voice into a higher pitch. It’s annoying when people don’t make an effort to understand you about something you can’t change.

배주현 It’s not that her voice is girly. Compare her tone at 0:36 to her tone at 0:48. She explains that she was told to speak in a nasally aegyo cutesy voice for Orange Caramel and it’s become a habit to speak that way all the time now. They are telling her to speak normally and to stop talking cutely.

In the army you must show courage, strength, aggression, determination, discipline etc and that goes into every little thing you do. Speaking in a "cute" soft voice does not convey any of those feelings and shall justifiably be corrected immediatly. So if you consider that manly behavior then yes, she must act manly, not in order to receive respect but to even be allowed in the army. If she starts crying because an instructor tells her off (which is their whole purpose tbh) then how would anyone be able to rely on her in a combat situation?

@홍세진 목소리를 지적하지 않았음. 말투를 고치라고 했지. 목소리 크게 절도있게 하면 목소리가 얇아도 봐준다. 목소리는 타고난 것이기에. 교관은 목소리가 아닌 말투를 지적하는 것이다.
