I my group was full of retards with whom I did dumb shits and we all agreed to just lay low in classes and just make the teacher think we dont know shit, and we she gave us a test we would write barely for the passing grade which she will give us even if we dont know out of pity; but tryhard and answer legit at the final exam at the end of the year for the scholarship xD

Being yourself is normally such a vague advice since some people haven't found themselves yet and they don't know if what they're doing is something typical of them or not. What you should do is control the way you react to things, try to do wacky stuff from time to time that's still in line with the school regulations and try not to care what people think of you after you have done that, if you end up being able to do wacky stuff without caring then it would be easier to be comfortable in highschool without caring what people think. Regarding grades you should put effort, but not too much, normally I just learn the day before the test and that was enough, but I was still learning the day before each test, if you happen to not learn for one then you get a bad grade and you'll still have to learn for the second one to rectify the problem, so better just learn for the first test and also in projects try not to get too involved since people would try to get advantage of you, better let someone else take charge and you should end up doing as much as your group mates and not more. Highschool is shit, you be used by other people without realising and be ostracized, but as Devon said you should just not care enough, if you don't care too much about other people then you'll not be taken advantage of and you'll be able to find one or two friends without having to search for them yourselves. Don't think too much about social stigma and school in general and things should end up fine for the most part. If you're prone to bullying it's harder since you're too embarrassed to go to the teacher and I can't give a general advice regarding that, but if there's a teacher that you know can help don't be embarrassed to get help, why should you care if someone that's bullying you will think less of you because you told the teacher? He's a bully and he has screwed up values. If you know there's not a single teacher that can help you then parents are the way, the same thing, try not to care about what people think about you if they know that you ratted them to your parents, I can tell you that's gonna be easier to withstand the shame compared to the constant bullying, you just need to get help without thinking. If you don't have parents and teachers to help you, then good luck, you're in a tough spot and only you can get out of there. How? I don't know, think about it, as Deven said try to help other people and then you'll not feel as powerless and it's gonna feel easier to tackle your problems.

I got into Dadaism and absurdism in high school. Me and my friends were writing Samuel Beckett-like plays, and getting aggressively weird in our behavior. Absurdism really helped us put the whole lame high school experience into perspective. It may be similar to going Goth, but a whole lot more effective. Absurdism is a philosophical perspective, and more importantly, an adult perspective. It puts you above all of the bullshit. You don't have to engage in any of it if you don't want to. As for academics, well, that was a piece of cake compared to the unreal social world of teenage conformism.

I went to school with a guy who who only did class work for one teacher out of all the 32 teachers we had. The rest of the teachers just let him sleep he never even did any class work or talk or even move really and he still graduated like he wasn't like top ten or dead last he was like in the upper middle class

Godsdamn, highschool was kinda nutty. Sure i got along with legit every kind of group. I did kind of bully some people. And one time we made a substitute cry because we clowned on her so hard. After i matured more, i apologized to the main kid i bullied hella and we are friends now. Many moons ago i saw that substitute teacher come into my work one day and i apologized to her for being a stupid kid, she forgave me then i gave her a hella discount on her groceries.
