Consideration, considerable consideration, has to be given to how the American people and media would react to a military meltdown in the Middle East and how the reactions would favour Trump enough to give him a win in the Electoral College on November 5. That is a catastrophe that would have horrendous and very unpredictable, harmful implications for the future of democracy in the world - including in the USA, Europe and Israel. For the present it might be more sensible to tread water until November, plan and prepare for future action in the meantime and then hope that the American electorate will not vote a convicted felon and rapist and pal of the world's dictators back into the Oval Officer. If that happens, all bets are OFF.

@@margaretconnors5879 I would ordinarily agree with you Margaret, but General Kimmitt`s repeated claims that Hezbollah does not want a fight with Israel and that it is in fact Israel that is itching for a fight with Hezbollah is patently misleading, false and downright dishonest, in the light of Jonathan`s opening remarks that state that Hezbollah willingly joined the war the day after Hamas invaded Israel and has since launched over 5000 projectiles at Israel. I find his lies to be very offensive.

The “Abrahamic Accord” is dead. It died on Oct. 7. It was a Netanyahu’s plan to put an end to the Palestinian issue and bury it.
