TV Show Built My Tiki Bar?! [Reaction Video]

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I've always enjoyed watching reaction videos, but the idea of creating one for my own channel never crossed my mind... until just a few days ago. Surprisingly, a TV pilot in which I participated over a decade ago resurfaced this week, revealing the origin story of my home tiki bar! It's a bit cringe-worthy to watch - I appear young and awkward on camera, and it basically stars my ex-girlfriend. There are numerous reasons why this might be a questionable idea. However, amidst the awkwardness, it's undeniably a fun concept, and I genuinely hope you find it as amusing as I did. I SINCERELY want to know your thoughts about this, so please drop a comment below.

Great idea for an episode! I really enjoyed seeing the birth of the Breezeway. I was surprised at how small the space appears when it was a breezeway, as opposed to when it is the Breezeway.

Very cool to see the start of it all! It’s amazing how much it has changed over the years. This is very inspiring to all of us who want to build a home bar. It shows us all that it doesn’t have to exactly what you want right from the start. It can and probably will evolve over time.

Love it, man! Just goes to show you how running into the right people and making things happen like the Breezeway can make the world a better place 😉 I was at the Inferno Room here in Indy earlier tonight, and realized you started your show. I wanted to watch, but too loud, and hanging with friends. Watched as soon as I got home though!

This is really helpful for those of us in the process of building our own home tiki bars, so we don't have to re-invent the wheel. I should have embraced a staple gun far earlier in my build process, especially for mounting lauhala matting (and fishing nets, nail guns for bamboo, etc.). Also, remembering that while tiki masks are a lot of fun to collect, they can get expensive quick; much appreciated advice about layering and depth to really make the bar feel fun, both in this video and the later one about the Hale Manu home bar in Nashville (kzread.info/dash/bejne/o6iCuK2Ancyqc9o.html). Maybe someday soon I'll get bold and try to make my own moulding; great video!

Question… Most of these tiki spaces seem to be a decent space making it easier to give the illusion things are more cavernous. I’m wondering about putting together a tiny tiki space (like tiny homes). I have the perfect fantastic space made for it, but it’s not generous on space. Would love comments or maybe an epsiode on that? Aloha!
