I wish Sorin and the guy from Learn Electronic repair had been my teachers at college.... I probably would have stayed on and completed the course! Watching these guys is the closest thing to actually having a teacher, the knowledge they have is incredible!

8:30 that housefly wants to repair the powersupply😂😂😂😂Sorin tells it "c'mon"
You always make me smile. Thank you.
I understand your fear od plugging device after replacing a fuse. Advice: always use a serial lamp. It will show you is there still any short circuit. If it shines permanently - there is short circuit, if it shines at a moment and after that becomes dark - there is no short any more. Thank you for all videos :)
@lordjaashin

so just attach the two terminals of serial lamp on the two holders of fuse?
@bozidardjuran7961
2 жыл бұрын
@@lordjaashin Yes, you can do it just like that but I think that the easyies way is to replace fuse with a new one and than place serial lamp in serial with power supply. If lamp shines permanently with full power than short is still there, if not short is not present any more.

Important detail: it has to be an old lamp, 60w/100w or higher. It does not work with leds

thanks for explaining teacher! always great to listen to you and great how you explain based on your experience. Thanks a lot!
Great Sorin Is the man !!! The switching driver it’s beautiful !!!!!
Great teaching my friend
100% PURE PASSION. P.S. POZDRAV BRAT!
Nice easy repair , i work on Tv's alot and i can tell you i have seen alot of drivers blown together with mosfets.. mainly with backlight circuit... and when you have driver blown you will have small resistors around it usually burn open.. So it can happen
People are gifted out here, you just look at the circuit board and come up with a schematic! 👏👏👏👏👏
More tv repair videos PLEASE !!!!
Maybe you can make a video trolling your store partners or a compilation of videos gone wrong with components exploding or smoking. Just for fun.
Great bloke,good geezer.
Just the best Tv Repair thanks for sharing sorin.
Thank you Master Sorin!!!
The faulty 'capacitor' is (more technically) a MOV.
Nice one
Sir, I enjoy watching your videos. I would be very grateful if you could add Turkish in the subtitle option only. Thank you very much in advance.
good job...
Always like your videos
am from ethiopia i learn a lot an i open my own master thank i can't talk a lot
Great video
Nice job sir
That’s a nice board I love Tv and power supply boards for some reason
As I'm seeing this I'm trying to repair an lg soundbar with a shorted capacitor that blew an smd fuse. Without the cap I now have 24.4v. No other cap in pararel. No schematic. This should be fun...
Thank you sir
Awesome sir...
hey sorin i really appreciate your work but why don't you use light bulb trick instead of calibrated fuse for testing purpose to avoid blowing of fuse.
i always had problem to find someone to plug my fixed stuff. now i am married and problem is solved.

Kkkk you're evil
It's likely the small blue cap was either a MOV or a snubber cap which had sacrificed itself due to a high voltage spike. From the damage to it, it looks like a classic MOV failure. Sorin, would love if you could do a quick intro video of your colleagues, unless they don't like fame
Thanks again for the explanation. Next time blow up something hahaha
Thanks Awesome
I should send you some little poppers that would pop when you gave these fellows something to plug in.. I wonder if I could do that.. I will have to check the rules and regs.. it would be funny..
The take away from this video: this, that, these and those are not important, you can ignore it. The thingy connected to the thingy is what matters.
Succes!
the pfc correct the signal the goal is to decrease the noise on the electric network opstream, a good cos phi can sometime decrease the cost of your bill (not for the average customer)
Proper calibrated fuse ! ^.^
sorin in another life you could have been a Navy Seal or SAS soldier thinking on your feet is you're forte
i thing you should use a series circuit with light bulb to avoid plow up the things 😄 , good work ❤
That capacitor die from transient voltage. That capacitor is use to protect the circuit infront of it, by sending the transient voltage to the ground and blowing the fuse. The problem is the capacitor current rating is to close to the fuse value, that why both of them die in the same time. While manufacturer intended to let the fuse to blown when transient voltage occurs. I suppose they never truly testing they TVS circuit.🤔
Sorin sir please make a video on how transmitting and receiving circuit are works..rx..tx...pfo
In many of your video that fucking sound of opening tapes suffering our mind my friend
Takhle by to opravila i sousedka, jenom by tomu neudělala reverzní inženýring
people call you dodgy for putting wire for a fuse , but before ceramic fuses its all that we used to use , even in old cars and house you had a wire board with different size wire to replace the blown one in the circuits lol
@protonx80
3 жыл бұрын
ive used a wire for a fuse since i was in school .. late 1980's ... its only that i did not know it was called "proper calibrated fuse", at that time 🤣
The fly from breaking bad lol
I'm curious about why that capacitor died though. [Edit: My uneducated guess would be either a manufacturing flaw in the capacitor, or a spike on the mains supply. Wouldn't anything else suggest further faults on the board?]
@eugrafcmg

I've seen some data sheet for capacitors that has a limited lifespan. This makes perfect component for manufacturing programmed obsolescence, also explains why lots of electronics dies short after warranty expires. I might be wrong...maybe master Sorin will make some light...

@@eugrafcmg its an MOV (metal oxide varistor) if there is a surge .. the MOV will commit suicide ... meaning kill itself ... and in the process blow the fuse .. .protecting other important components

@@protonx80, ah, okay, so it was providing a little extra smoothing, but with the _intentional_ bonus of helping to limit damage during a big surge. So, pretty sensible :)

Good ones fail after many years if at all. Just recap after 15 years and use them till the end of time.
Only you, with your lucky hands, could make this repair work plus you jump the fuse with a wire. You can't make this stuff up! ROFLMAO!
Come on. Who else tried to get that fly off their screen like me?
everybody are scared to lift the tv 😄

Kaboom ! My brain just blew up...
find someone to plug it and ... take cover 😂
Where is the lawnmower video? I stopped watching, when I came back it was gone!
Calibrated fuse lol, you are a funny dodgy man :-D No boom, what a shame lol. Block diagrams are better to teach people how a power supply works, circuit blocks doing certain jobs. Just my opinion.
If you would been hard core you would have known take fuse from your multimeter. I mean your coworker's multimeter fuse.
