There’s so much that I can say about this season that I couldn’t really fit it all into one KZread comment. Although, I probably don’t need to as my opinions perfectly parallel yours (although I would swap Boo to a Goose and CLTR/ALT/ESC personally but I still love them both) This was just the perfect way to end the show. It had all of the best attributes with some banger episodes and one of the most heartwarming finales I’ve ever seen. I’m going to miss this show but at least we have so many amazing episodes to go back to

I have to say @DCSMedia I think every episode in this series was wonderful even The Trolley Problem which was probably considered by most people to be underwhelming still felt wonderful. In regards to favourite episodes this time round I don't really have one They all had been such a joy to visit and revisit for my videos. I also want to say on a more personal note, I am going to miss inside no 9, or at least the excitement of anticipating a new series and its going to be difficult not doing my inside no 9 reviews which the same regularity as this, but I will still be talking about classic episode from time-to-time, but in turns of new fresh content for no 9 this is the end. But I'm excited for new content to come my way. I have a plan to review every film on the IMDB 250 greatest films of all time let starting at the 250 and working my way to number 1, that's what I'm doing for my new review style content and for reader's corner I'm tackling a story I wrote called Angel Dust which has already got four videos in its series with five more to go. Great ranking and retrospective review all the best and looking forward to what's coming next for you 😊👍

Thank you for watching and glad you loved this final series, and The Trolley Problem, in comparison to other "weakest episodes of the series" wasn't as poor, as I say it's not on the same level as a Nine Lives Kat or Last Night Of The Proms for instance, which to me are noticeably weaker in their respective series. It's definitely going to be strange. I've been watching live since Series 6, and since then, each series airs around April/May/June time, they were always something to look forward to, especially since each of these past 4 seasons have aired during exam times for me. But absolutely don't stop with the No.9 content. I'll try and revisit some older episodes with dedicated videos. And as a big movie buff myself, the IMDB Top 250 series sounds like a great idea, I'm already sold.

For Ctrl/Alt/Esc it had to be the most exhilarating and intense for me. I get into programs easily so I get into stuff very quickly and I always try to keep a keen eye out for details that might come in handy later. I’m also autistic and I when I get excited/ frustrated/ angry/ happy about something, I get loud! Very loud! I start raising my voice, I start screaming, I get emotional, my heart rate goes through the roof, my brain starts to shut down as I’m getting more and more excited/ angry/ happy/ frustrated, I start jumping up and down like a loonie and I go into a fit I’m not suffering from psychosis or insanity or epilepsy I promise. It’s just how I work. As I said, Ctrl/Alt/Esc was INSANE for me as the twist slapped across the face (I was on holiday in Yorkshire when this episode aired. Good thing for recording programs am I right? 😅) as I was so unprepared for Jason literally in a coma, fighting for his life against Dr. Death- who might be an analogy for the grim reaper - and Jason’s (successful) escape translating to him waking up from his coma. I didn’t want Jason’s doctors or his wife who came to gut wrenching decision to literally pull the plug on him and like Amy/Millie said “your the one who has to deal with it” and “necrophilia more like” make a lot more sense on rewatch. It was nice to have a happy ending with Ctrl/Alt/Esc as I dreaded what would’ve happened if they chose the sad ending

That’s awesome, and yeah I get what you mean about being super invested in a Film or a TV episode like that. With this season of No.9 I’ve been like that with the humour, stuff like the ending of Mulberry Close or some of the jokes and gags in Plodding On got loud belly laughs out of me, probably enough to wake up the family XD. It definitely was a really strong episode, it was engaging, I wanted Jason to make it, so it was nice to have a more optimistic ending for a change. I can also pick up on a lot of visual elements, that tends to be how my brain works, and this episode was very visual with the clues towards the twist, which made it really satisfying. But it’s great to see your enthusiasm for this episode

As for Plodding On: It was basically an episode that references every single episode of the whole show. They are Easter eggs everywhere. Some obvious and some not.

That is true, there’s plenty to look for in terms of homages and cameos. But the story was still strong and the references to enhance the story, they don’t distract or takeaway from the story.

Been looking forward to this as enjoyed your previous series reviews! An excellent series overview. Lovely shout out to Emily Howlett - absolutely agree and it was lovely she got a cameo in the final episode. I loved the cameo from Sian Gibson who more or less reprises her role from my favourite episode 'Bernie Clifton's Dressing Room ' . Agree it was a perfect closing episode

Thanks for your continued support with the No.9 content. I forgot to mention how well Sian Gibson’s appearance mirrored her appearance in Bernie Clifton, how she interrupts the conflict between Steve and Reece, another excellent homage. Empty Orchestra is a real favourite of mine, honestly tempted to do a dedicated video to it one day, and Emily Howlett was a standout part of it, some of the strongest disability representation I’ve seen, so to see her again was a joy, I hope she gets more acting work in the future.

I really hope that they referenced every episode in the last episode. It would be very on brand for them.

Well, they did. The finale was basically an episode that references every single episode of the whole show. They are Easter eggs everywhere. Some obvious and some not.

CTRL/ALT/ESC should have been the 2nd last one, it linked into the finale, and felt like a proper finale to the show itself (with the last episode being more like an epilogue / wrap up episode).

I have to say I agree with you there. I think with how it linked to the finale as you said, plus with the things I mentioned in my review, it felt more like a step out of No.9 for Steve and Reece, whereas The Curse Of The Ninth felt more standard No.9, with a gnarly death at the end of the episode, which CTRL/ALT/ESC subverts.

Mulberry Close and Boo to a Goose are 2 of the best episodes ever on Inside no.9 I didn't dislike the Trolley Problem at all, but The Curse of the Ninth was bad, especially because too predictable.

I agree with the first part, I really loved those episodes. I can understand why they were shown at the early BFI screening. No.9 At its best. As I say, I don’t dislike The Trolley Problem, I just found it comparatively weaker to the others in the series, but if you found a lot to love in it, then I’d love to hear it. As for The Curse of the Ninth, whilst I personally liked it, I understand why you see it as predictable. It is a more standard episode plot wise, even if I found the acting and production design to be very strong.
