    I'm way late in watching this. I figured you would perfect an easy way to do the Lori Holt projects. I have several as well as a box full of her fabrics. No chickens yet, but not to say it's not going to happen. They're absolutely adorable. I'm guessing it's the same process using SNC and SA3. Hopefully I'll find my Happy Halloween project before my kit comes so my grand nephews will get it before Halloween.

    You’re an angel to do so much extra work just to accommodate those of us with smaller hoops. I thank you profusely. I am seriously considering purchasing the software you are using, mine does a good job but is harder to use and it was way more expensive. At my age with one foot in the grave and another on the banana peel sewing keeps my days full of joy and continuous learning. All the new technology can be challenging, but it is worth the effort to learn because it makes the sewing quicker and much easier. Love you and your channel, Green Bananas.

    Oh my goodness you have me laughing in my coffee! What a sweetheart you are. Yes, while other software can technically do the same thing, I'm all about quick and easy. As you so eloquently put it, life is short so I need software that can expedite the process vs. making me doink around for hours. At $169, it's worth every penny to get the sheer joy from it. www.allbrands.com/products/65662-brother-sabessadl-simply-applique-creative-embroid

    Thanks so much, Becky! I’m very grateful! After taking a sewing machine appliqué class last week I was truly dreading having to stitch these chickens on my machine since my hoop was too small! This will save hours of work and lots of frustration! Your instructions are the best!

    Fantastic job AGAIN on explaining stuff since I do not have the HUGE hoop, only a 8/12 by 14. Now to get started, wish me luck. I really enjoy the way you show exactly how you did things, and yes even the cutting of the fabric not as wide as you wanted. I have made that mistake too many times !!!!

    Thanks for all your awesome instruction. Slowly, but surely, I am becoming comfortable with the Simply Applique Software. If you find time, I would love to have you do a lesson on how to set up an applique when the main body of the applique is larger than the largest hoop..

    Well, you have to sew that part down with your sewing machine. There's no way around that if a part is larger than your largest embroidery hoop.

    No sorry. Express is a module of Embrilliance that will only do a couple of things so you can try it out before purchasing Embrilliance. Embrilliance does not import the fcm file to create applique like Simply Applique does. Your software will create applique but how to do it from an exact shape I have no idea. I don't know that software. But for $169 you can get this super easy software to do this for you. www.allbrands.com/products/65662-brother-sabessadl-simply-applique-creative-embroid

    Hi Lori, Thank you so much for this great video. I do have a question though. How do you get rid of the stitching underneath so you don’t have 2 layers of stitching? Hope this question makes sense. I am digitising a very large appliqué design where pieces are overlapping & I really don’t want any stitching underneath where they overlap.

  • @PowerToolsWithThread

    @PowerToolsWithThread

    Жыл бұрын

    You have to do each fcm piece one at a time and save them as separate embroidery files. Then merge those separate files into one design and the software will remove overlaped stitches.

  • @PowerToolsWithThread

    Once the grid is on center over the sticky target paper, the grid and the fabric are placed in the hoop so the grid fits with the little tabs on the sides of the hoop. That centers the entire project. :-)

    Quick question, can you resize the chicken when you scan it to your scan n cut. Or in canvas once you put it in the order that goes. Can it be resize to fit a 5×7 hoop?

    That is the method I'm using with that software to make these chickens. You need either Simply Applique or BES4 to do this.

    Becky…in Embrillance can you add stippling around the appliqué, or a quilting design around and have it work on the embroidery machine? I am loving the chicken quilt. Would love to win the Chicken quilt by Lori Holt donated by MRS. M.

    Hello! I’ve been wanting to do a huge monogram for a pillow case. I don’t know how to slice the letters either horizontally or vertically. Would this work or would you happen to know of anything else?

    Designs by juju has some split letter, monogram that are already digitized. Sometimes it’s easier to just get one and add it to your project. That’s what I would do.
