The pink noise technique is amazing, it’s been used in profesional mixing since the 90s! Love how you explained it Fox!

I have literally never seen any professional audio engineer using that technique.

Lucas Diehl have u ever study sound engineering? Cause they taught you that technique. And trust me people use it.

@@ToxylTV I have indeed studied audio engineering and no, this technique was not part of the course. It wasn't even metioned in any way. I also know a lot of professional audio engineers personally and not a single one of them uses this technique. And last but not least, have I never heard a mix using this technique, that beats the "traditional" way of mixing in any way.

@@dankesthours182 Probably because you don't know a lot of suicidal people. But I know a lot of professional audio engineers.
RESUME: - layer kick and snare and tight limiter (fast) - multi band sidechain (pro mb) between lead and bass - bass between 150-200-300 cut for muddiness - low pass and oscilloscope to match low end sidechain - warm tape saturn on high end to reduce crispness - pro q 3 pink noise eq match (not low end) - delay percs a bit for groove - dimension expander and short bright room reverb for lead presence
"If it sounds good to you, that's good" is the best line in this video! as long as you get to where YOU want to be (not the ENGINEER) all is good!!
Fox Stevenson is such a jolly guy , he must be protected at all costs 🥺❤️

Honestly one of the most useful mixdown tutorials ive seen. theres no direct "do this, do this, do this" its an explanation of concepts and how to apply them in different ways in real life. A1, saved to reference back to, also pink noise

@@juzeku After looking up the definition of "Chav", that sure isn't something I can identify myself with. but sure mate. If some edgy person with a full caps username extracted from weeb culture tells me that through a KZread comment, it must be true right :p
there are no Fox Stevenson links in the description Big scam
For anyone who's interested - you can do his pink noise mastering eq trick inside the ozone eq, its got a pink noise setting included
Its really funny watching someone work on their own track and knowing exactly what they will want to do. Like that reverb for instance, knew you were gonna go pull that back down. Great stuff man, thanks for the insights.

It's great seeing such evident proof of how the basics (EQ and compression) are the major tools for polishing a track.
Remember fellas, your favorite producers or idols use the most unorthodox techniques to mix/master etc. don’t be afraid to try new ways of doing things!
wow, this is one of the most on-point mixing videos i have seen since i guess i started watching Mr. Bill's stuff

That pink noise technique is friggin' cool. I've gotta figure out how I can utilize that with my current plugins. At the very least I understand what I can do in similar respect to ozone and different shite. I've got Multipass which allows for a lot of that. That friggin' pink noise though is mind-blowing.
Really cool tricks! Thanks for that👍👍
