Garmin has made everyone confused due to lake of proper instructions with livescope transducer. None of the video on you tube and garmin site shows Witch way or what end of the transducer shoots. Not enough instructions about installation comes with the unit.

At 1:38 of the video, what are the differences between what this video calls a "Correct = Good Bottom Return" and "Incorrect = Bad Bottom Return." The bottom returns look identical to me.

I agree that I don't see a difference

In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens kzread.infoUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

Very confused as well. At 57 seconds it shows you how to mount the transducer on the port and starboard side for forward view. Then at 1:31 it shows you a correct forward view installation that matches the port side at 57 seconds but doesn't match the port side forward view at 57 seconds.

yep. terrible video!

At 0:53 since port and starboard have different orientations does the garmin just figure that out or is there a spot to select port/starboard based on the mounting orientation? I'm assuming its automatic and the puck just has the sensors to run in either direction but want to make sure.

went out twice without realizing i had it backward until today when I was jigging downward view😂😂😂

why would you not show the side of the transducer that has the orientation lines on it?

After watching this I am totally confused... why is port vs starboard different different?

Good question. My dad has it, and we can’t figure out some things on it... like we lose the bait going down to the bottom sometimes

It SEEMS all backwards because they are violating the 180-degree rule for filming. They are showing starboard mounting and then port at different times.

You have a great video. Only you move along way to fast for most of us to be able see what you are trying to get across before it changes. Some people are slower at learning electronics they are not familiar with. Not trying to bad mouth you in anyway.

So at :49 your showing forward view and at 1:28 your showing forward view, both are different.Which is it?

what is the point in producing a video, if you confuse people with seemingly contradictory info, and do not address the questions asked.

Rhey talk about "1 click difference", but the transducer clicks to 3 different positions. ??????? HUH?

why does this confuse me?, am I the only one? If we were installing it on the transom and wanted to see a little bit in front of the boat and we mostly wanted to see downrigger balls neither of these seem to do this this am I wrong?

Just for your information I have a 93 and 94SD with live scope on the screen I do not have buttons or whatever like you are showing you talk too fast and you too far away for us to see what your touching on the screen
