I love publisher rocket! I'll be honest, I was critical in the beginning, but I think it was because I wasn't using it correctly. But I fully believe that it's because of PR that my short stories are finally taking off.

KDspy and Publisher Rocket. Lightbulb moment: Amazon has an API any developer can use to pull raw data. But I'd rather write than spend years learning to develop web tools. This is one of those "worth the cost" tools. The Competition Analyzer has me sold. Real $ numbers!!!

You'll have to look at Rocket's help for that :)

So I am still a bit confused about how exactly to use Publisher Rocket. Do I just come up with a list of keywords that would benefit my book and simply plug it into Rocket to see all the data and further decide from there?

How can i email them for chatagory.

I find it almost impossible to find two green tabs aligning for the one keyword. Rare as hen's teeth, unfortunately

Nope, I just don't get it. I consider myself an intelligent individual but I just don't know where to start with Publisher Rocket. So, I've entered "humour" and see that "humour fiction" has >1,200 books competing for this phrase, on average only 223 searched for that phrase and it's moderately competitive with score of 43. Sooo, is that good or bad and don't get me started on Category Search. Right now I feel like the kid who got his entrance exam result muddled up with a brainy kid with the same name and ended up sitting with the brain boxes when I should really be with the snot blowers testing the flavours of different coloured crayons. HELP!!!

One thought… “humour” is the British spelling and would probably yield more accurate results on the UK site for publisher rocket, while using the spelling “Humor” on American site could potentially yield different results? I’m Canadian, so we use British spelling, but this is something to consider when doing keyword research in the USA.

I'm a little confused by this. I get that this website helps find category and keywords for your book but what confuses me is: CATEGORY SEARCH and COMPETITION ANALYZER: Do you follow by the ABSR of #1, SALES to #1, ABSR of #10 or SALES to #10? Do you follow by higher or lower numbers? (Like 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest. This also includes the other searches) Also, you mention emailing amazon? So are you saying if you would like to put your book in more than one category, you have to email Amazon? COMPETITION ANALYZER: Do you choose the Category by MO Sales? You seem pretty interested in those. So the more money that book makes, is it the best to choose to find your category? KEYWORD SEARCH: When you looked at "Est. Amazon Searches/Month" and "Competitive Score", you seem afraid of the "Not Enough Searches" on "Est. Amazon Searches/Month" with "Very Competitive" on the "Competitive Score". So are you saying is to go for Keywords with "Enough Searches" and "Low Competition" is the best bet? Will it also be better to go with Keywords with a less "Number of Competitors" so you are at an advantage? Also, how many times do you have to change the keywords in case your sales are slipping? Once a week? Once a month? Anyway, I hope to get an answer from you soon.
