Instead let your hair grow longer so that you don't need to pull your hair this hard to tie them.. it can cause hair breakage

You can't with short hair end of video

DONT DO IT with a short hair. It just looks stupid and you'll have to pull your hair really hard for it to stay in a bun. Breakage is so common while doing that, so first grow at long enough at least, neck length and then you can go for it without stressing the hair too much.
