How long does this method of extensions last? Can you wash your head with it on?

This is a sew in. No you can not wash your hair because it’s in braids sewn under the hair unless you want everything to be matted and this hairstyle usually last on differently depending on your hair texture. I have a loose curly hair so it’ll probably last me a week or two because eventually the tracks will slip because my hair is also short. Someone with longer and more corse curly hair it would last a month but I wouldn’t advise to leave it in too long because you’d keep having to get your hair touched up in the process but without getting it touched up if you maintain your hair very well sleeping in a bonnet , ect a month at the most is what I’d say. My sister has very corse hair and she takes it down usually after three weeks because her frontal will be very dirty and greasy from makeup ( sorry if this was too long of an explanation)

​@@lisy1991 I used to wash my hair with a sew in. Yes you most definitely can wash your hair. Lift up the tracks apply the shampoo and just wash as normal. But you will have to dry your hair with heat. Sit under a hooded dryer because if you let it air dry your hair will be mouldy and smell real bad. Oil between the braids and then style the weave hair as desired. My weaves could last up till 3 months. But I'd probably say two months tops. It's on your head girl treat it as if it's your own hair. If you know you're gunna take it out within 3 weeks then I wouldn't bother to wash it.

@@Browndigs69 idk how your able to wash your hair without it matting or anything but you should upload a video. Because whenever I’ve tried it’s never ended well for me, I’m not sure if it’s because we have different hair textures or because when I get sew ins I get a net over my braids because my hair is too fine so the braids slip out easily if I don’t maybe I’m doing something wrong, but I wear my scarf. A bonnet every night and if I’m just walking around not going anywhere. not sure also my sew ins never last over a month my braids get loose ashhhhh and I be damn near coming the tracks by the third week. Now I just stick to quick weaves because sew ins just don’t last on my hair no matter what I do when I install my hair or even when I go to a salon I’m not sure why but I feel like it comes down to my hair texture being a loose curl but I’m unsure. If you don’t mind me asking what’s your hair texture?
