I know you made this video some time ago, but I was wondering if you could use a contrasting color for when you smock? It is very very hard to see white on white and white fabric with white thread. For teaching purposes it would be much easier to use a darker and lighter contrast so we can see it as a viewer. Thanks so much!

I definitely want to try it. I have a few questions, of course. What kind of fabric do you use? Is it lighter than quilting cotton? Maybe is it like lawn, or is that too lightwieght? What kind of pencil is that, a quilting pencil? And what kind of thread? Thank you.

Hi thank you for stopping by, yes this dress is adorable and hoping is not difficult to follow 😊 i use just cotton from japan fabric, it’s easy to pleat. You can use linen if you like or cotton is best... the pencil i use just ordinary pencil that my kids use it for draw 😆 lol... yes you can use any pencil marker you have as long as it stay there for your work. The thread for smocking is just embroidery thread, i oftenly use it for smocking 😊

Happy New Year Amalia! I love your name. Do you sell the pattern to this Bishop dress in your Etsy shop? I am very new to your You tube Channel I just subscribed. This Bishop dress would look so adorable with a longer sleeve coming out from underneath the short sleeve ruffle, wouldn't it? I like that idea but do not know how to achieve it for myself. I would love the pattern for this dress for my Blythe Doll. I would love to do it in a Cinnabar Dupioni with smocking and light pink roses onto of the smocking. Bullion roses that is. You are very talented and very detailed oriented with your work. I like that about you.

Hi, thanks for stopping by and watching 😊 there is no special tips for it, i am just using a proper size for the needle and must be sharp one. And I just serge it (semi-serge actually cuz my machine only have that mode)

Untuk fray check alias biar ga serabut aja pas pengerjaan. Harusnya pakai lem yg khusus fray check, tp karena ga punya aku pakai lem kertas bening yang water-base. Aku rasa kalau selesai pengerjaan lemnya sudah tidak perlu lagi. Dicuci pun sudah tidak masalah... karena project sudah selesai. *sbg catatan bagian pinggiran disemi-obras atau obras biar lebih rapi.

Lem Fray check kan fungsinya hanya untuk mencegah serabut saat pengerjaan. Kalau pengerjaan selesai artinya lem tsb tidak perlu diperhatikan lagi. Kalo pun dicuci tidak masalah 😊
