Hi Emmy, I've been doing colored pencil drawings for over 30 years, and have read all the books on the subject. Most instruct the artist to render hair in clumps, creating the illusion that the viewer is seeing the hair that's really there, but not seeing it, if you know what I mean. This video is, without question, the most outstanding instruction I've ever seen with colored pencil. Thanks so much for sharing your fantastic talent.

I understand the structure of teaching, I am amazed at the technique, just amazed. As well I must add, what I see, in a woman’s hair style here, is pure elegance. Beautiful colors and braids. I have seen styles like this in real life, however, never before have I watched any artist draw such elegance.

You put out great tutorials, very helpful. Best thing is, your tutorials stand the test of time to helping artists learn. Too many "me" artists on KZread with their 3 min speed videos that are nice to watch, but don't teach you a thing about improving, no comments, never reply to anyone who writes a comment, blah! 😋

This Tutorial just brought my skill level up massively... I thank you so much!!! I mean i got it... i understood what i was doing for hair coloring/shading but i wasn't satisfied to the level i was happy with it, i knew something wasnt right and i couldnt figure it out....
