Tutorial: fixing problems in non-solid models for 3D printing (Tinkercad, Blender)
In this video RDlady shows some simple and easy solutions to fix problems in 3D models that have internal faces or that show as corrupted models when you try to 3D print them. The problematic models cannot be fixed using the default repair tool from typical slicer software (cura, idea maker, simplify 3D, etc). So this video shows alternative solutions that can be useful in such cases.

I'm confused, I don't have the merge vertices option?
I also have an issue with a gun model from a video game, so that’s a very similar project. I have to try if it works for me

Turns out they removed the feature. I‘m using 2.91.2 and it‘s not there.

I tried 2.80 and it was there, but didn’t work for my model

@@karlsinger4760 It's under Mesh > Cleanup but as far as I know this will not remove internal faces it just fixes holes in the external ones. I have better luck using the modifier 'weld' instead
I think this is now under mesh, not vertices?
