Becky, you can correct me if I’m wrong, but I think you can delete that word without having Enthusiast. If you run the stitch simulator and stop it right where it jumps from the book to the word, and add a STOP, and then change the color of the word to a different color, then you could delete the word because it is a different step.

I had never heard of that so I tried it and YES! You are right! Thank you! I love how my viewers share their knowledge. :) Enthusiast is still a great tool to use and I have another video coming up where I show how to use it to separate a large design into 3 separate smaller hoopings. But I truly appreciate you sharing that! Thanks again. :)

Great lesson! I purchased Enthusiast a month or so back in order to add my own thread color library to Embrilliance and I have not learned all it can do, so these gems you show us are very helpful. I was considering bookmarks to add to the grandkids' Christmas gifts this year, so perfect timing!! Appreciate your great teaching.

Hi and Merry Christmas. I just want to say thank you for making my life a little bit easier. I Had a work injury that requires me to change my lifestyle. I was given a soul machine and got a deal for the PE 800 in Broadway machine. I'm just learning how to use the enbroader machine and thanks to you you have made learning non complicated for me. I love the way you teach, You're teaching help a disabled person like me stress Free while learning a new trade and praying that I could make a business out of it. Again thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing what you'd do and helping people like me put a smile back on her face. God-bless what you do.

There is so much you can do with Embrillance Essentials…My quest now is to learn how to manipulate lettering so it stitches as well as the lettering in my PE Design Next software. I love the versatility of BX fonts but they don’t always stitch out well… lesson for another day…😎

Please tell me what stabilizer you used. Also, if I use SF101 on the fabric and then two layers of cutaway polymesh stabilizer with a piece of batting beneath the fabric, do you think that would be sufficient? Thanks.

  • @PowerToolsWithThread

I think that stabilizer is Pellon's 541 WashNGone. You can get it at Walmart. I'm wondering if two layers of poly mesh and batting might be overkill? You might do a test on scraps to find the density you like.

Thanks Becky for this tutorial. I use the color sort function a lot in Embrilliance, I was wondering if that function would not sort your multiples into the various steps you wanted without having to do it manually. You just need to make sure the colors are the same at the same step for each object but I think it would sort it out for you. Maybe I’m wrong ?

Color sorting does work the way you describe, but in most designs the digitizer will use the same color for all placement stitches (batting placement & fabric placement) and the same color for all tack down stitches (batting and fabric and applique if any). Before you color sort for multiples like in this video, you have to go in and manually change the colors so that the batting placement for each bookmark is one color and the fabric placement for each bookmark is a different color. That way the machine won't stitch them all at the same time. This is not completely necessary if you have a single needle (depending on the design) but in a multi-needle it is a must or they will all stitch at once. For multiples, once all 4 batting placement stitches have stitched out, then the machine stops and I can lay a single piece of batting down to cover all the placement lines. Then let the machine stitch the tackdowns for all 4, then stop, and then trim away the batting between all 4 bookmarks at one time. It's quite the process.

Many thanks for your answer. I understand the difference now, it then depends on your projects to color sort or not.
