Thank you for the tutorial! I just finished it! Some random notes for other beginners: - I used 4 different colored squares (instead of 2 like the video), and I finished one of those 1.5 oz yarn balls fully (the one I used for the border/sewing/handle) while the other 3 had maybe 40% of yarn left. - Once you count a few, I found it easier to stop counting rows for squares and just use old squares as measurement for new ones - When you are counting rows for the squares, the foundation chain doesn't count as a row

Talking about yarn, I'd just like to ask since I'm a begginer, does the type of yarn actually matter for the project? Like, will it ruin it if I use another one that isn't the specified one in the video?

@@Isabelle-vj6mu No, it doesn't matter what type of yarn you use, unless the tutorial says specifically that you need a certain type of yarn. As you use more types of yarn, you will gain knowledge about how yarn fibers will affect your crochet projects!

I like this tutorial so much! I am going to follow this to help me master basic granny squares then I’ll work on learning how to add designs. As a new crocheter (2 months now) I have been learning a lot. I first and still are learning from women who crochet in a class, and they even told me to go on KZread and look at things. I have made two bags. The first bag was small the second one big. The second I found long and hard because I was confused on how to work my way up. Now I know how, but make granny squares seems to make the process go faster. I imagine if I made a ton of granny squares I could use them for many projects, bags, cardigans, etc. Thank you for this video! I’m thankful I know how to read and understand the basics of what I currently do know. Sc, ch, etc. Good stuff!

Amazing video! Very easy to follow I used five coloured and made 40 squares and made a nice tote bag I would recommend doing double crotchets instead of half double crotchets bc half double crotchets take a longer time and double crotchets are bigger stitches so if u want to finish fast I would recommend doing double crotchets overall amazing and easy video to watch ❤❤

I use about 4 rolls of 50g each, and yeah, the size pf hook does matter. Smaler hook, smaller bag as your square will be small. 🤗

Are hi umm u will need a needle a crochet and you can get them easily at small sewing shops near by to you but you can not use the hook
